Hello I just wanted to ask has anyone else ever sent a text/email to the wrong person? I recently sent an email which was meant to be for a friend to a lecturer complaining about the way the lecturer taught! (I think that could explain why I didn’t get a great grade in the module)
I did it once, and asked for advice on here as to how to recall it, but it couldn't be done.
Someone suggested I contact the recipient and tell them my account had been hijacked and to ignore any messages they might receive purporting to be from me lol
and did it work chezza?
so that was you!!!!
the shame redface
lp
The person thought I was joking and laughed it off... phewwwwwwwwwwww...
lol
I sent an extremely personal mail to my neighbour instead of the guy I was seeing redface surprisedops:
My neighbour always smiles an winks at me when he sees me!
Errm done on here as well - had to send an apology pretty quick smart!
I've never sent a text or e-mail to the wrong person, but regularly whisper the wrong people in chatrooms, either because I forget to switch who I'm highlighting or because I don't notice that I have clicked on the wrong one. Usually when the occupants of the room change quickly and I don't realise the one I've highlighted was below/above the one I intended. Don't you just hate it redface The moral of the story is no whispering rolleyes
for some weird reason some numbers when saved to my phone do not show the caller id when they ring or text.
i recieved a birthday text recently and i replied thinking it was a fwb, so thankful it wasnt rude. it actually went to a famiy member.
in chat i hate whispers, i know i shouldnt but sometimes people whisper asking me about another member, ie how did the meet go, no names, but ive often said stuff and sent it to the person i met by mistake lol thankfully its only ever been good stuff lol
i think it happens cause you have the person your writing abouts name in your head.
xxx fem xx
i dont think i have but my ex wife sent me one once warning her lover that i was on to them lol

Because I usually send my mis-whispers to other people instead of you bug! Then spend the next 10 minutes backtracking and apologising and forget to resend surprisedops:

no, not to the wrong person, but I did push 'make a friend' by mistake, I have been ignored ever since.
Yep.
An ex and a colleague with same name.
Next to each other in my phone contacts list.
Couple of glasses of wine too many.
Feeling bit naughty...
redface Mortified the next morning.
Got over it the next time I saw him in work and we laugh about it lots.
No, but did answer the phone to someone and chat for a few minutes before the person on the other end, very amused, said errrr, Mmmaybe, I think you've got the wrong Terry. This is Terry from accounts at work. Ulp. Served me right for shagging flirting with someone called Terry I spose!
redface surprisedops: I have done this a few times, and it normally follows a meeting with a glass (or three) of vodka
The first time was when I emailed a neighbour of ours, late at night with some sill joke, only to realise I had sent it from our 'naughty' email address and only realises the following day when they had replied and I noticed which account I had sent it from
The second time was a very suggestive text I was sending to someone off here, it went into graphic detail about what I wanted to do to them, however,I also had someone in my phone with a very similar name and the poor bloke (from work) need I say more  I never mentioned the text to the guy at work but he got msfr mr all my drinks for brews made for the next week or so
