Oh my giddy Aunt!!! My 1000th post and I haven’t a clue what to write. Why is it that when you want to be funny you can’t think of anything but when you need to be serious and solemn, all you can think of are the funniest, most unsuitable things possible? That happens to me every time I find myself in a church. I end up trying to stifle an uncontrollable giggling fit. Maybe that’s just me???
I guess I will just keep it simple and say thanks to the people that have made this site what it is today.
To Mark and Helen for their commitment to running this place, to the Mods for their day to day work behind the scenes, but most of all , to the people that post on here and make me laugh on a daily basis and make this place so addictive.
I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible at the NW Munch next month.

Really hate to say this right now .......... but well done Sarge. Have certainly enjoyed your posts (well 999 of em anyway!) - A couple of classics that spring to mind without having to trawl through old threads - when you were describing NHS shaving foam, PMs and a one liner that still has me in giggles to this day, remember this........

One of the few pleasures that my nurses, psychiatrist and probation officers still allow me, is to dive headlong into The Forum and enjoy the latest offerings from 'The Sarge'. He's never disappointed me, has given me endless enjoyment, and is usually the instigator of the funniest things on here. Not bad for an Arsenal supporter.
I'm working on a plan to bottle 'Essence of Bilko' and make my fortune.
