I called 999, and as I didn't know the road number told them it was 100 yards from***** crematorium. They were based so fecking far away it took me 15 mins to get across to them where I was. confused
A cow heading for the crem- I saw rare "steak on legs" biggrin

I know it's really annoying when they are slow to come out but I have to say that recently I had to have them out twice in emergency situations and both times they where absolutely brilliant....It's just a shame that they appear not to have the resourses to deal with every crime in the same manner.....
I had a very good result when I caught 2 kids trying to nick my scoot. The police were here within 15 mins, gave them a description and I thought I'd hear no more. 20 mins later they're back with the 2 scrots in the back of the hurry up wagon. Statement taken same night, 2 scrots charged with attempted theft and possession of an offensive weapon
The police blocked a road near where i live so i told my friend to take the side street so we could avoid the hold up, haha, bad idea. Two cars followed us, pulled us over, i got searched etc etc
Fun
A year or so ago my Daughter got hit by a guy hidding in the hedgrows outside our house after asking him what was he doing... it was about 2am she had just got out of a taxi. I heard all the goings on and ran outside to confront this guy, he was doing all the usual stuff about your a dead man your gonna get capped etc and I knocked him down and held him whilst ringing the police.. telling them we had an intruder who had already hit my daughter and I had him pinned on the ground.. now 40 mins passed and they called me back on my mobile asking for a description!!!! I explained I'm sitting on the sh** and if they want him to come and fetch him. Took another 2 hours!!!
Great eh........
To be fair though it was a weekend night... They are busy you know!! Mmm

I had a bit of trouble with a guy a few years ago who tried to stab me with a very large carving fork.
Took it off him broke his arm and waited 2hours for police to arrive after phoning 999 and I was outside their bloody office window.
Best bit was when it when to court and the Judge asked the guy why did he have a carving Fork up his sleeve. "It was for my pot noodle your honour" was his reply. rolleyes
Thot a blood vessel was going to blow in the Judges neck lol  .

yes i know this is going off track a bit but reminds me of an incident i had which was all down to 'centralised' emergency call centres. i was out on a motorbike in margate ridinng it up to the mot station when my right leg started feeling a tad warm. i looked down to see the float chamber on the right carb had fallen off dumping petrol onto the hot exhaust which set it on fire. being literally just round the corner from the local fire station, i rode rather rapidly onto their forecourt, dropped the bike & tried to find them.
the bays were empty & no one about, so i used the emergency phone outside to summon help. this put me through to fire headquarters, some 35 miles away & i explained the situation. conversation went along the following lines:
'my bikes on fire, im at margate fire station, there's no one here'
'that's right, they're at ramsgate (4 miles away) training, where are you'?
'at margate fire station'.
'we understand that, but what road is it in'?
'i dont know, its outside the fire station'.
'yes sir, but we need to know where the fire station is, whats the name of the road'?
at this point, a passing police car stopped & used their car extnguisher to put it out, contacted the mot station i was taking it to, they came & collected the bike & the fire brigade still never turned up. guess the hq were still trying to figure out where their station was
.
yes there at ramsgate(4 miles away) for training, where are you?
magate fire station, its literaaly in their yard. yes but where are you?
margate fire station.
yes we understand that, but what road is it in? i have no idea, i am at the fire station, the bike is outside it blazing away.
ok we understand that, but we need to know what road thats in.
I know Margate fire station, and when the firemen are there...... sillyhwoar:

Wow !!
Where I live you get a letter saying that they understand you have been a victim of a crime and would you like counselling ??
That comes about three months after you report the crime.. rolleyes
lol I got offered the counselling when they were here smile For crying out loud it was only a freakin window confused It's the kids that need the help not me. Gawd only knows what these kids will be like in there late teens! Interestingly though. I do know the parents and their reputation (not the best) should they be made responsible for their kids actions?

I got my letter two days later biggrin
but i keep getting harrased with calls asking meto fill out surveys, saying i have a broken jaw and it hurts to talk works well...until they ask questions about how i did it
Acouple of weeks ago there was a shot fired in the small cul de sac where I live so being a good citizen I phoned the police. Very shortly 3 police turned up with very large guns strapped to them. We showed them which house the pratt had gone into and they went outside, had a discussion and then got in their car and left. A while later some unarmed police (including a community policeman ) turned up and asked where the gunman was. Told them again and while they discussed it outside we watched the gunman leave the house.
I was bemused by it all. Was it too scary for the cops with guns that they had to leave it to their unarmed colleagues or did they think I had an over active imagination? Oh next day a neighbour was walking down the street and the police and forensics were there as they had found a bullet on the pavement. See!!! I wasn't lying and if they had gone in when they first arrived it would have saved them from having to put those annoying boards out on the pavement asking for witnesses
