Is it worth going to the brum Bazaar !

Just wondering if anyone's been to the Birmingham Bazaar. If they have is it worth going. I've been toying with the idea for a while and it's on this Sunday coming.
It will be my first time this weekend, but I have been told by more than one person that's it's a fun event. Hoping to finally meet with a few regulars from here at the event as well (there's 2 couples from our regular chatroom that should be going)
If you never try, you'll never know
We've been and thought it was good.
Bought quite a few bits and bobs wink

Tis true what *Her* says. Everyone is really nice and helpful too, if a little dauntingly attired in some cases!
We'd have come home with more than just a few bits n bobs, but we ran out of money

Rob,
We go 5-6 times each year, so have to say yes it's worth it lol

been a couple of times and we like it worth going we think
OK seems the general consensus is that it's worth going which was my thinking. Can I add further to the thoughts on the place as I'm now thinking about the dress code. I kinda assume there was quite a range of outfits and as I don't have any fetish gear to wear what will get me the least funny looks. Cos I hate looking Joe Normal.

We had been at a social the night before and most of us were just wearing 'normal' lol clothes... I had jeans and a top under my jacket. Nothing fetish and I didn't feel like I stuck out. There were a number of people in fetish gear but there were so many people there that it was a fairly good mix.
Wear what you're comfortable in.

Given plenty of notice, I'd go again.

Would be great to meet up with fellow SH-ers.
well what time are you gettin there ?? there are a few goin and we are meeting up sure it would b fine for u to mingle too
Good event. nice shopping and the bar is open
nice to see folk dressed up and the top floor was an eye opener !!! lol
Damn I forgot to check back in here before I went. Had a good time and yeah some eye openers ( amongst other things lol ).
Had a drink up the cafe where they seeemed intent on setting off the sprinklers.
Think I'll be going again as it was a fun time out and next time I think we should sort out a method to recognise other SH-ers and a meet up spot.
Got there a bit late and missed the Demo's due to the Nokia maps on my phone not liking brum centre evil
Rob,
Glad you enjoyed the BBB, were 6 SH peeps that we know there between ish

We were in around then :-S Damn would have been great too hook up for a drink and a chat.
The Sat nav went nuts as we got close, recalculating the route every hundred yards and taking a hundred yard to decide too. I think there was just too many possible routes with all the small roads.
Did anyone else have a look at the electro stuff on the 1st floor ? We spent the rest of the afternoon in awe of and chuckling at "The Decimator" . I only assume that some folk are made of sterner stuff :giggle:

That decimator could certainly cause "Brown outs" The electro stuff an fine with, in fact it rather intrigues me, it was the size of the decimator that frightened me. Lets just say if you dropped it on your foot I reckon you'd be in A&E, actually using it might put you there as well.
what's the parking like?

what's the parking like?

on street parking. The majority of streets are parking metered, but exempt from payments on a Sunday. It's also within walking distance of several car parks.
Happy to leave my car for a couple of hours, and never had any bother, but if it were something that 'attracted attention' then I'd be more inclined to park away from the venue and either walk or catch a taxi.
For directions, - includes a Google Map link
To be honest there are 2 NCP car parks within easy distance
- Circa 20 yards, on Hurst Street
- Circa 120 yards, on the junction of Bromsgrove Street and Gooch Street North
(We always use the latter as off the A38, and a reasonable £2 for the day)
The BBB themselves clear say on their website, "If parking on street, use only marked parking bays which are free on Sundays. DO NOT park on single yellow lines, you will get a ticket"
I've quite often stood with a drink on the balcony at the venue and watched illegally parked cars get ticketed (the local CCTV seem to direct Traffic Wardens) and even saw some cars 'lifted' this week

I found the parking to be a breeze and I was expecting to be cursing it. Like others have said there's a few car parks nearby. I parked up in an undercover one a couple of hundred yards away. There were spaces in all the car parks around.
ok then, cheers cool..........think we might just 'av a look at the next one
Rob,
Did you get anywhere with any SH 'badges' for peeps going to BBB
(Just wondered as next one this coming Sunday <21st> and we taking along a couple of newbies)
cheers
Is it that time already ? Blimey, Er xmas shopping anyone ?
I got the badge off Sarah ( cheers BTW ) but I have to say not sure anyone would know it was from SH.
I did think that I might ask at SH towers if we could use the multicoloured "flower" type logo up there before Heaven on a badge but I've been a bit distracted of late trying to set up my own business.
If there's enough interest and SH don't mind I'd set one up that people can get from the likes of cafepress or Zazzle ( no not they of the infamous readers wives ) online merchandizing stores. I'm kinda surprised that SH don't do it though. I can thing of loads of possible things. ;-) SHwing !
Hmm the more I think about it !
Blimey I haven't been to the BBB for years, time to get off my backside and head Ooop Norf-ish again methinks
All,
Just been advised by some stall holders we know that the December BBB, sunday 19th, has just been cancelled due to the weather
