Personally I'd avoid buying property on the Scilly Isles, SW coast of the UK, south coast of Ireland or anywhere on the Atlantic coasts of North or South America, which will bear the brunt of that one.

So us Geordies and Sand dancers on the NE coast are ok then?? rolleyes
So do we start the SH evacuation of SW coast of the UK, south coast and Ireland now?? We have room in our bed for som SH refugees wink
biggrin

Well strictly speaking I'm not a sand dancer, just a Brummie in exile, but yes we're quite safe from that one and I'm not aware of any big lumps of Norway that're about to fall into the sea, at least not at the moment.
Whilst we're being a little dark, recent events in New Orleans were all but predicted in an article from which I have included an extract below. Full story available here
The storm hit Breton Sound with the fury of a nuclear warhead, pushing a deadly storm surge into Lake Pontchartrain. The water crept to the top of the massive berm that holds back the lake and then spilled over. Nearly 80 percent of New Orleans lies below sea level—more than eight feet below in places—so the water poured in. A liquid brown wall washed over the brick ranch homes of Gentilly, over the clapboard houses of the Ninth Ward, over the white-columned porches of the Garden District, until it raced through the bars and strip joints on Bourbon Street like the pale rider of the Apocalypse. As it reached 25 feet (eight meters) over parts of the city, people climbed onto roofs to escape it.
Thousands drowned in the murky brew that was soon contaminated by sewage and industrial waste. Thousands more who survived the flood later perished from dehydration and disease as they waited to be rescued. It took two months to pump the city dry, and by then the Big Easy was buried under a blanket of putrid sediment, a million people were homeless, and 50,000 were dead. It was the worst natural disaster in the history of the United States.
When did this calamity happen? It hasn't—yet.

Thanks a bunch M2PU! sad
I'm reserving your spare room right now.....expect a midlander turned southerner on your doorstep in 5 years time (and you'd better start building extra wardrobes now!)
Nobody mentioned Yellowstone Volcano yet? There was a prog on TV about it few months ago. Biggest Eruption in the world waiting to happen, plunge the world straight backto the ice age. Apparently its a couple of thousand years overdue. Should happen about....................NOW!!!
Anybody still here???
I remember reading Churchill's history of WW2, he said, (I paraphrase) "I had loads of worries during the war, but out of the hundreds of things that worried me, only about 4 of them actually happened"

But with whats going on in the world these days, what with freak weather and crazy
wars, an up surge in terror, giant wave's etc etc.
What could be next, is it time for the next big bang.
So would anyone like to hazard a guess at the next big disaster to happen and maybe
find out if the next Nostradamus is a member of SH worship .
P.S No prize for the winner

Oh I say, that's nice. Apparently I'm going to cop it on a Sunday. Perfect! Sunday 1st January, 2013. I hope I get wankered the night before... some New Year's Eve party THAT will be!
Then on the Last Day of the World we'll have a nice dinner - Turkey that day I think, a bottle of my favourite Chateau-neuf-du-plonk, then sit back and watch the BBC televise the end of the world. (I'll know when it's getting close coz the Beeb will stop broadcasting finally!!). The sky will catch light casting a lovely crimson across the room and making the cat wake the feck up from it's 10 year sleep (lazy bugger). We'll say "Cheers! You've been a crap family but what the fuck, we're gonna die now so I can tell yas what I really think of ya".
I think the next big one, will be when 24hr drinking comes in,.,,,,,,,,mad dash to have a party, everyone goes out..............................and.............
Britain runs out of beer

Well it's very unfortunate what's happend in the southern US, but it's hardly the end of all things. Just to be serious for one moment...
the cosmos has been here for billions of years so why should it end in a few years time according to some prophecy ? Anyway, if it does end - let's be honest - it will cause of war
Btw fun4u2c, I'm all for getting some serious shaggin in biggrin
