I've kept out of this so far cos I don't like the idea of putting myself in an in- group or crowd.... hey, there are times when being in the middle of a group is good fun :twisted: , but this situation isn't one of them

)I think the whole In crowd thing is individual perceptions of those who might chat/post more regularly than others, rather than a specific clique determined to make others feel bad.

I used to be a regular poster on here it was a release from everyday pressures, we had fun and laughter, I used to be in stitches at some of the threads I couldn't wait to get home from work to see what was happening on here (sad I know), I used to be on site for minutes that turned into hours.
This was a virtual world where you could be who you wanted to be drink at any time of the day, flirt with whoever you liked, but alas I very rarely laugh on the site now.
It used to take ages to achieve that golden 1000 posts but the chatroom culture has set in and in no time 1000 is insignificant.
The membership has more than doubled in the short time I have been a member, and inevitably certain personalities are going to clash and then the bitching starts and it is no longer a virtual world of fun but more like real life.
Why can't people lighten up different people have different senses of humour and just because some people share the same sense of humour and bounce off each other doesn't make that an "in crowd"

We haven't read all posts about the various in or out crowds, but from the few that we have read, it all seems rather juvenile to us
From a personal perspective, we would not consider ourselves as anything other than members of this site, nor would we wish to become part of any groups within groups of in or out members, if there is such a thing
The forum offers a real life scenario in that, if you were in a club/pub/party ot whatever, you would not all be chatting together, but rather moving amongst the crowd chatting to different peeps at different times.
Would you *really* rather stay in one corner and chat to the same few people all night? Most would say no, and would be happy to mingle.
We are not prolific posters on the forum, using the chatroom more often, but we have found increasingly more and more posts on forum are of very little substance worth reading these days.
It all seems to go in waves - week one is the "everyone tell me how fab I am". Week two "everyone read my post which is simply there to bump up my post count". Week 3 "tell someone else how fab they are" and so on. It's all innane drivel half the time and not worth the time to read :sleeping:
Bring back the days of friendly banter and leg pulling , quality posting, decent jokes and stop worrying about who is and who is not *in* :roll:

Unless and I have said this before someone can tell me who the *uck is the in crowd and I dont care who they are anyway I will be forever bemused.
I hate getting pissed off but today I have to say this has got me in the short and curlies enough for me to stop being polite. I will not read any more of the threads on in or out and comment again but peeps lighten up for the sake of the reason you enjoyed this site before you cared about how many posts pms or crowds you were part of and just be thankful this bloody site is here as without it my nights would be poorer.
