I would like to share with you all my celebrations on completing all the renovations to my house.
After deciding to go ahead with the work (new kitchen, bathroom, internal doors, heating, radiators, fireplace and windows and front and back door) I was promised it would take a maximum of 5 weeks to complete.
5 weeks turned into 6 months and boy have I been extremely pissed off.
I would like to say to the messy, inconsiderate and foul mouthed aggresive workmen, I hope when you have people in your house to do work that they are as bad as the considerate and funny workman, a big thank you.
A very big thankyou to Marya who has put up with me whinging for the last couple of months and has mopped my tears of frustration.
So no more mess, dirt, sleeping on the sofa and not being able to have my children at home where they belong.
Everyone please join me in celebration a happy new house................... cheers xxxxxxx
Woooooohooooooooooo
To Alex and her sparkly new house
JQL will be so jealous :lol2: god knows how long he is into renovations
Awwwww bless
Kisses and hugs from me to you. Sit down, have a glass of wine, chill out and relax, and see you soon at the NE Munch

Congratulations, Alex !
I was looking forward to an invitation to come round, but now I know you don't like having messy, foul-mouthed and aggressive people in your house, I guess I won't get one wink

5 weeks. I'm sorry, but rotflmao @ 5 weeks for that lot. I'll bet the kitchen took close to that. I did a kitchen, replacement larger window and kitchen/diningroom ceiling in a week, but that was 3 of us, working non-stop from 8 in the morning until (some nights) 2 in the morning.

I was without a kitchen for 5 days. I was fed up of the sight of take-aways and micro meals sad . On the plus side, the kitchen is just lovely biggrin
Alex,
I've just come out of the other side of decorating hell myself so I know exactly how you feel, thankfully the bathroom from hell is now finished.
Grats on the new house. !!

Hi Alex,
Wow, what a hellish thing to go through - you must be so relieved it's all over. I wouldn't have believed when I saw you at the munch that you were going through all that at home at the time.
biggrin
Mike.
Oh Alex, I can sympathise completely. I went through exactly the same thing a couple of years ago, but was lucky enough to be living in rented accomodation while my house was ripped apart. Some of the renovations were done after I'd moved in though so I do kind of know what you've been going through.
I bet it looks fantastic now though and you keep walking round doing this
Well done girl  kiss
