I'm sat here looking out of the window. The sun is shining, the sky is blue and the leaves are turning gorgeous colours (not literally as I type - although they are, of course, but I can't actually see them turn.. rolleyes You know what I mean!?!)
I love Autumn. It's my favourite season. I also happen to have a week off, so all is pretty right with my world at the mo!
What would be your perfect autumnal weekend?
Mine would have to be a walk out somewhere in the fresh air and sunshine, kicking up the leaves and working up an appetite. A nice pub lunch somewhere and then dinner with friends. Good wine, good conversation etc. On Sunday I reckon I'd do it all again.
There's something about the crisp autumn air when it's a lovely day that just makes me want to get out and enjoy it.
So, what would be your perfect weekend?
My perfect autumn weekend would be very similar to yours Nola, I love walking in the autumn feeling the leaves crunch under my feet, although I have been known to fall ass over tit slipping on wet leaves... confused .
I like early summer for similar reasons, walks, drinks by the river, finding hidden spots for a quickie
ALso there's the added advantage of warm weather leading to less clothing. Much better on the eyes when eye candy is about ;)
It's lovely here too. All the changing colours and textures and the smell of the season change coming from the damp earth. Wonderful stuff. I've just got my old Rayburn ready for it's first fire of the autumn. Might take myself off to the Black Mountains for a stroll. I'm lucky they're only a few miles from me.
Then come back and chop up some veg and make a nice soup. Lovely!

Rubbing liniment on your chest to help ward off the effects of the oncoming winter.
I love all the seasons - we are blessed in this country with seasons that are distinctive enough but not too extreme.
I love Spring and early Summer because of the vibrant greens in the foliage.

oohhhh crunchy leaves, I LOVE runnings through the leaves scuffing my feet and kicking them all over the place....guess thats the big kid in me.
*P.S sorry to 90 year old Mrs Cribbins after she had worked for hours sweeping them all into a neat pile redface*

Ooooooooooo, sounds lovely to me!! I always wanted a rayburn - I'm dead jealous!
I love this time of the year - nothing better than a brisk walking in the woods on a autumn day with watery sun shining and of course - with some good company! I like the changing colours of the leaves and how the sun filters thought the tree's. Return home to a warm fire - snuggling up on the sofa with a good book or a film.
