..if you mean the indefinable God,as in God is Love/Love is God.
I can't give you any rational case for believing in this crazy,mixed up confusing World,as cruel as it is beautiful - but I do.
God is in everything - the sun,the rain,in music,in poetry,in grief and sorrow,in joy and celebration,in sex and shredded wheat even!
Not a man with a white beard though.
And not much like Linda Barker is a real shame 'cos she's lovely!

What do you mean by "believe in"?
I "believe in" truth, and love, and justice, but I don't know whether they're represented by some supernatural incarnation - they're real yet at the same time intangible.
Is there an ultimate power of the universe? I have no idea, and if I thought there was such such a thing, I wouldn't like to hazard a guess as to whether "God" had a personality in the deist tradition, or whether It was some pantheistic sum total of all living things with no distinct character of Its own, or whether It created the universe or was Itself created along with the universe.
I think I'm more or less what the theologists call an agnostic.

i also believe that "god" is everywhere and in everything,the buddists and taoists are closer to the "truth" than we are in the west. I think the problem with the western idea of god is that we try to anthropomorphise "him",it's a simple answer to an impossible convienient so Ice and flirty i agree with you

Put simply, whilst rationally I don't think there is a God, and if there is a God I'm sure he/she/it is not aware of me. Nevertheless when that 40 tonne articulated Waitrose truck jack-knifes up the road and is sliding down the road towards me, I shall be praying like there's no tomorrow, because there probably won't be.
Religious buildings I like a lot, but religions I hate with a will, all of them, for the damage they have done.
