Well I expect i'll get banned or something for this post but there you go.
It'd been 5-6 months now since Swinging Heaven bacame a commercial enterprise. Now i'm not one of these people that ever said "oh my god they have sold the community", "it will never be the same" etc etc. I'm just an ordinary joe that uses this site everyday. I just wanted to highlight some of the so calld "improvements" to the system since the new ownership rook over.
The forums do not seem to have changed that much, not that I ever used them extensively anyway.
Chat, well what a joke that is. Chat is now split ove three servers, rooms fill up first thing in the morning then youre stumped to get into any semi-decent ones for the rest of the day. The names move so fast its difficult to clcik on anyone and find out about them. You can't have a private conversation with anyone except by whispering and what a pain in the ass that is keep having to whisper and unwhisper depending where you want your comments to appear, and of course you can only do it to one person at a time. Who do we get in chat these days? well as far as I can see mostly, and I stress mostly, a bunch of numpties directing women to take thier clothes off. I have not actually managed to have a "conversation" with anyone for ages. Why can't the cams and the pervs have thier own room.
Adverts/profiles ,why, why, why do we have to have both?? What was wrong with people just having adverts? If I want to know something about someone I used to read it in thier advert now I hve to go through the profile crap as well, which half the time actually have nothing written on them anyway. The silly icon that say no pictures available yet when most of the time there actually is.
Winks, I have to ask who the hell was the total idiot that came up with this braivwave, i'm sure if you did one of your polls, single ladies and couples would tell you they are sick to death of recieving winks from these idots telling us to look at thier profiles and when you get there there is nothing written and no pictures. DOH. We must get twenty a day at least. It's totally pointless.
Last but not least, I don't have to pay for this, YET, as I was full member when the new people took over, but when and if I have to I can assure you I will not be. Why? Because I don't se improvements, I see money making at it's most commercial and also it's worst. I was in business for years at executive level and I understand that they need to make money, but, that should be coupled with value for money and good service. The site runs slower than a sloth wading through treacle and seems to be down at least every couple of days, and everyday I encounter some problem, adverts take ages to laod, page unavailable etc etc. Not the type of service I intend to pay for I can assure you.
So new owners I say this in conclusion, charge by all means but make it worth it. This site got the numbers it did by virtue of it WORKING, bad news travels a lot faster.
