I'm sitting here naked, having just had a cuppa and read the forum. I'm putting off going shopping because I hate it. I've been given a budget for stuff for my classroom so I have to do the 'housey' type shops as well as food shopping. The prospect of fighting the crowds is just so unappealing.
Am I the only woman who hates shopping? Or are there others out there? Do you like shopping?
ever heard of shopping on the internet?
i dont like shopping, i am rubbish at shopping for clothes unless its just for jeans t shirts, vest tops and trainers biggrin
i cant just wander round shops for pleasure cus i dont enjoy it at all
i have to go today tho cus i want to get some stuff for garys bday and il enjoy that cus i want to get him things he will like :D
wor lass and I hate shopping with a passion. I loathe the crowds, the inability to walk in a straight line, the bumping, the rudeness, the materialism, the advertising, the greed, the bitchiness…………….. I could go on.
The only thing I do like is a bookshop or library where I can spend hours in peace and quiet.
I do think that mentioning nakedness and not supplying pictures is just cruel. innocent

Yes, but I work full time and I'm not likely to be in when it's delivered, which would result in having to drive bloody miles to the post office collection depot (which is shite and has lost stuff before), so that isn't a better option.

lol you've clearly not seen me naked or you would see that that would be cruel, inflicting naked pictures of me on the forum!
I love bookshops too - the smell of second-hand bookshops is lovely.
yes yes yes yes....... the smell of books.. that is what I do when I get into a shop/library. I open it randomly and smell it and if it doesn't smell 'right' then I can't get it.
I do believe that beauty is in the eye.... etc. So..... ??
I quite like it! lol or at least I don't mind it. Maybe I'm one of a few but if you get the right day and it's quiet (normally during the day for me) I kind of think it's relaxing just ambling along.
Shopping's more stressing when you have someone with you and they keep putting random things in ya trolley! surprised
MrFB and our son went shopping with me last week. They abandoned me within five minutes because I was being a demon with the trolley. I just hate people stopping to bloody chat in the aisles rolleyes
And I went and snitched on a woman with kids who, firstly, were eating sweeties directly from the pick and mix whatsit. Then, having filled their bags to overflowing, were wandering around the shop eating. The assistant went and told her that they had to pay before eating. Woman said she didn't realise  so the assistant said, 'well if you've eaten them what can we weigh?'
Bloody disgusting anyway, pick and mix bars - when you see the filthy little (OK and large) mitts that go in them, yuk.
i hate shopping, full stop.
i dont like going food shopping cuse its always after work when im tired and just need to get something for tea, but have to face all the screaming kids ( no offence intended, i had them myself),
old ppl who are soooo slow ( no offence intended i will be old soon)
or the bloody 5 to 9ers(named so as when shops shut at 9pm they would be there to get the reductions)
i hate high street shopping also.
pushing , shoving, being made to feel i should spend my hard earned money on crap i dont need and really wont improve my life
i hate internet shopping
as fecks said working full time it would just mean taking day off to wait in for it or making calls to re deliver, or chasing around trying to catch the post office open.
i oficially hate shopping. im getting old cuse i look forward to the weekend where i can just dozz around, not having to get dressed, put make up on , do hair etc. opposed to being 20 and thats what weekends were for shopping and all the above.
xxx fem xx
ps, i do love book shops though

With you word for word on that one! I can vaguely enjoy supermarket shopping on the continent- in the smaller supermarkets, not filled with ex-pats lol.
The last time I enjoyed shopping was when I was in Whitby in Feb. I needed to get a couple of gifts for the kids, and most importantly a Whitby Jet Pagany-type necklace for our eldests 18th (in four days! :eeksmile
It was such a charming town architecturally, full of shops stocked with the weird & wonderful. It was blowing a gale- literally- which kept a lot of people away- and I was on my own with no one else to please! The thought of being there in the summer though when all the enticing narrow alleyways would be full of tourists......nah!
So I guess that was my ideal shopping trip. I had a purpose, a new, interesting town to look around- and solitude. Shopped in the morning, and went up onto the cliffs to enjoy the tempestuous weather in the afternoon- bliss. :inlove:
can you put on some clothes guys am trying to have my breakfast

Nice confused
I like shopping...
but only when I am on my own, in a city centre as I find shopping malls too sterile and depressing, when I have something to shop for (rather than aimlessly window shopping) and when I get a chance to stop for a glass of wine, or coffee and cake or generally feel like I am being a bit indulgent!
wave Unashamed shopping lover here (as long as it's on my terms!)

Is that a fetish then?
I hate supermarkets with a passion and don't often go. Ian does the food shopping on the condition that I cook whatever he buys. I just can't stand it!
I hate people getting in my way and chatting where I want to go mad
I don't mind high street shopping as much but I wouldn't go on a Saturday because of the people :eeek:
I don't have much choice of liking supermarkets.... As i work in one lol
But as you can imagine i'm on the receiving end of women and some men who don't like the shopping.
Personally i don't mind shopping myself... its the putting it away when you get home i can't stand and the kids always do a runner!!! mad
biggrin
I hate shopping with a passion... apart from when I go into London with my other half, and we go to the Apple store, and Anne Summers... that's about all I can stand!
The first time my other half and I went shopping, he was gobsmacked on how quickly I got in and out of shops... he doesn't mind coming out with me now!!! We're both techie geeks and can spend hours in Apple.. and he doesn't mind spending time in shops like Anne Summers.. in fact on our last jaunt HE :rascal: wanted to stay in there longer as he wanted me to try "things" on.
:censored:
I take my blind friend out shopping most days, and she knows I hate it. So many people are ignorant! She wears black glasses and carries a white stick and the amount of times we get walked into etc drives me insane... mad
:x It gets her out of the house and the excercise does me good... so I can't really complain.. plus we usually stop for tea and cake too... bonus!
Needless to say I am NOT going shopping today.. Oxford city centre on a Saturday... i'm not that crazy... plus no Apple store!!!!!
:giggle:
I hate any kind of shopping with a vengeance.
If I really can't get it of the Internet then I do my research so I know where it is and how much it is, park outside... straight in, straight out.
As regards the weekly shop, then that's easy... 2am at my local 24hr Walmart/Asda and even then it's ipod on at full blast. I want people to know I can't hear them so no-one talks to me and slows me down. Once again, it's know where everything is, I go get it and then straight to the checkout... until the lousy bastards change all the shelves around again and I'm forced to explore!
I like shopping when I can get on with it, I hate it when you have to dodge chatters and kids
sad i hate shopping full stop
:( clothes food any kind grrrr
but i love shopping for shoes mmmmmmmmmmmmm
Ive just spent the morning shopping with 'Toastie', a woman I work for... some of you may remember her from a previous post
bloody nightmare it was... nighties... toiletries... coffee... stroll in the park and abuse about my smoking
the hilliest route to and from the shopping area... argh... and her wheel chair needs oiling!
Still, she once again demonstated her selfless side by offering me the crust of her sandwich when we were 'at lunch' in the park...awwww.... of course, the bitch had cleaned it of anything tasty already... ! (mainly chucked in my direction)
then the hills on the journey home...only to be told as Im hanging around th house after shift 'being nice':
Go on, Pish orrf!
shopping?
you can stickit!
lp
I hate shoping almost as much as I hate that green duck and its owner who sticks his hand up its bum! mad
