The irony of this site is the misconception that 1) All the women are gagging for sex with any and everyone on it, or who ask them, and 2) That all the fella's are guaranteed for sex because all the women are gagging for it! I think the TV and whatever other medium you choose to read, and the flick books in the newsagents are to blame too, are full of stories of such guarantees that you cannot fail to get what you want. All those sweeties in the shop, and you do not have to pay. It only takes a few months on here to realise, that this is not the case. Many of the people on here are really respectable, kind, witty, honest and have general good qualities and values. They are more liberated in certain area's, but in general are not what many think it to have littered about within the background. It speaks volumes when you try to make first contact, with an ad in the first place, and get little or no response. Then onto the next phase, of posting in every deviant/sexual preference listed, to again be limited, and then finally to hit EVERY contact within 50 miles on the hope of a score. Many come and go, finding it is not that easy to find contacts willing to talk, many find it hard going and perhaps find very few to chat with, and maybe the odd physical contact, and some are lucky and get everything they desire, but then that is life? My advise is that if you want a quick partner, to fill in your score card/diary date because your woman has gone awol/gone away/because they are all so desperate on here, then maybe you have found the wrong place. The only TRUE guaranteed place is the local sauna establishment, because this is where the media has got its wires crossed. Today it is the swinger sites, before it was the sauna's, and tomorrows news could well be motel meetings….! Do not believe all you read, because words are often made up as you go along. The best was a few years ago, when some joker dropped a note in saying all emails had been logged, and the government were looking to recoup 25p for them like the normal mail. A daft thing, but guess what, many complained. You get out of this site what you bring to it, and if you want some nice fun, pleasant company and sex but with a laugh and nice people, then you will eventually find it. If however you want a quick shag, no intro, and over and out in ten minutes, I would strongly suggest you look on the local toilet walls or pay for it with a rub down with baby oil and powder in your local 'sauna'…GUARANTEED

Im sure you know Rocky better than I , as im a new boy i apologise to Rocky if it seemed like a personal attack- it wasnt . Although its always worth remembering when we start to question the influence of the popular (tabloid) press that in the main , the journalism ( i use the term loosely) in them is merely a reflection of exactly what you state " what we want to hear" . Or rather what those of us who read the popular press want to hear . The Mirror isnt called the Mirror for nothing , and it would be conceited of us to somehow claim that we can see through the tissue of lies in them and yet the majority of 'normal' folk cant wouldnt it ?
The same men that we have seen for years complain of a lack of 'compliant' couples in the scene , are also often the ones objecting to the advertising or promotion of swinging as a life style . Its got to be said that the often repeated comments from men about the popularisation of swinging leading to the wrong sort of attention are more motivated by a fear that it will attract more competition for themselves in a small enough pool as it is. It rarely takes into account the fact that single men (as indeed single women) are almost always single for a reason . Im sure some of them are independantly wealthy , successful career men who spent their lives so wrapped in their career and hobbies that they just dont want the complications of a long term relationship and seek out casual encounters , but at least a few of them may also be blokes out for a free shag with no real merit at all . Id leave it to the individual to decide what the actual proportions are , as i dont have any statistics.
Truth is its far too ridiculous idea to try and apply correctness and standards to a way of life which is based on hedonistic desires and nothing else . Its like organised anarchy .

Just a rant, a bit to do with media, local talk and generally more to do with how people are. I think we all wain towards the ideals we have heard of from the sixties, where openness and sexuality were laid back. We forget though that this was mostly in the USA, and our dreams and the likes are just that. If only we could have virtual reality machines for our sexual desires...now that WOULD be something. The media buisness would collapse because basically we ALL have animalistic desires, and to be able to get them, right now, this instant without any come backs at any level of life, that would be brilliant. There is an assumption throughout this thread that "all men are up for it". Hate to disalussion all the male egos on here, but in my experience many arnt, they may think they are but in reality, when their pants are down, many run a mile!!

One mans hang up is another mans moral standpoint . I guess it all goes towards the basic assumption we have drawn over the years which is the more you analyze your reasons for why something is fun , the less fun it becomes .

it has to be said that some guys and prob gals are on here with intent without partner knowing.... others are here with partner knowledge, some are here as couples...some are here as couples but one or other does not want to play..
