The Weather

OK is it me or are others thining that the weather is playing a bigger and bigger part of of the news in the past couple of years.
for example, this morning BBC had a piece on the news about how cold it had been over night etc Minus 420 deg Kevin or something, the coldest its been for cor blimey FIvE yes FIVE years and then went and had an in situ report from a highways agency grit pile (fasfreakingcinating) It was like the whole of bloody hell happened with the frost last night ffs.
At the end of the, I dunno seemed like 2 hour news bite, The reporter stated that most roads were free of ice though care had to be taken but "Here in the backroads of rural Gloucestershire where the gritters have not been there are still very icy patches"
Well frig me no there aint are there !! Not icy patches on backwater roads where gritters haven't been! blimey who would of thought Ivy roads in January in rural gloucestershire for gods sake. What is going on!
Makes me puke it does ffs ~ Ice in January, who'd of thought eh?

i know....they spend ages going on about floods, the in the next breath theres a hose pipe ban
.....or going on about being snowed in on the motorway and making sure you have the equivalent of an sas kitbag full of rescue items in the boot should you need to pop to the spar for the odd essentials like the sunday sport and a mars bar
or the fact that global warming means all our seasons are the same dull mild rubbish and we dont have extremes any more
well pardon me but MINUS FIVE is a bit extreme to me :sticky:

Just do what I do. Fill an extra gallon in the car and leave it running for an hour :shock:

Just do what I do. Fill an extra gallon in the car and leave it running for an hour :shock:

An make sure that you can claim £25 cold weather payment if its under Zero in your postcode area for 7 consecutive days. Over 50's I think on certain benefits - worth checking out on government website.

Yep, its bluddy well freezing here - my neighbours letter box has frozen closed, never seen that before in the city confused
