Just sold a set of shitty old sack trucks on ebay with a flat tire. Expected to get maybe £3 for them but went for over £11 dunno Not that I am complaining of course. Local pick up and the guy arrives in a shiny beemer with pin stripe suit immaculate shoes and smelling of cash lol Picked the sack trucks up with one word "Quality". Really felt like saying "no mate, bag of shit" Its amazing what people will pay for stuff.

I sold an old head board and it turned out the guy was a millionaire who paid the in cash ( to the penny) and neva left any feedback which p ssed me off the most
He was probably a scrap metal dealer and got £15 for them at the recycling plant! lol
Amazing how many people don't know the true worth of their rubbish...
Highly doubt they were worth that in scrap, £4-5 maybe.

i dont understand who would spend their time putting something on ebay to make less than a tenner???

When you consider the price I got it for which was £0 its a bloody good deal biggrin Takes me about a minute to write a basic Ebay listing 99p start and the rest of the work is done for me, easy money. As Ive said I always pick stuff up for free, other peoples junk as it were. Its utterly amazing with all the programs on TV these day how much people dont know about the value of what they chuck out. Ive just discovered languishing in a corner one of my best finds yet in the for of a vintage guitar amp. The name badge from the front alone on Ebay is selling for £120. If the thing works I could get 2k for it if its broken broken £500. All for free, works for me  Thing is you have to work through the 99p and £10 stuff to find it. :D
Ive just cleared my attic out - most of it went on Free Cycle. We had a load of games and odd comics etc my son checked ebay. I was surprised how much some of it goes for. So will definately be putting it on the bay soon as I have time.

Its sure is and you begin to learn with time but it can be a rigorous exercise in checking everything! That can be laborious and its not always straight forward how it works. For example you can put one issue of the official Playstation magazine from the original grey playstation on ebay and you wont sell it. I put on my collection which was roughly issues 23 to 80 something and they auctioned up to over £120. Guess collectors can see the bigger picture of buying in bulk. In my Mums loft there were a lot of old annuals from 50's 60's some like Beano etc and some I did not know of. They were virtually all worthless when I checked Ebay but a 1982 Masters of the universe annual was worth over £10. Its in great condition so think I'll hang on to it for now biggrin
My best Ebay sale was a petrol tank for a Kwak 750 turbo. Thought it might buy me a few beers or something, in the end it went for £500 to a guy in Hawaii who paid even more to have it delivered. I bought another Bike with that cash.
