Why would I want to give out my mates email addresses to some spammer somewhere when all I need do is pick up the phone and ask them personally?

Sorry, JQL... I know I'm probably being cynical, but I cannot for the life of me see why someone would spend time developing a system like that unless they get something back. Nor do I see the point of using it when a pint down the local with my pal would glean more fun.
Like I say, I'm just a grumpy old fart...

Somehow I don't think the likes of Scoot and are going to be too worried by this. Nobody needs another online business directory, but someone clearly needs an easy way to acquire a mailing list. I have just created 10 email accounts and put them all on this site and done nothing else with them. So far 4 of them have received spam. Nuff said.
