It's making my life a misery.
Had it since December, it used to be frequent bouts, now it's all the time.
I've been tested - twice - and that's definitely what it is, I've had all the Canestan combinations, the flucanzole tablets, acidophillus, and I'm coming to the end of a month's course of Ketocanazole(Nizoral)and I've still got it.
My doctor can't understand why I've still got it, and sometimes I feel like screaming with it.
Anyway -
my question is this - has anyone tried anything from the "alternative" range of medicines/treatments, that has worked? Not sure if we're allowed to say on here, so maybe PM me?

seroiusly is this english?
Nope, it's perfect English

Tell you what, when you have thrush you feel like you'd use anything to relieve the itch confused
It's bloody awful and Cherry has my complete sympathy, but I have nothing to suggest that hasn't already been suggested.
I SO know the feeling FB....its not nice at all and yes i am sympathetic to Cherry, she knows that....but she also knows i can make her laugh about anything....even an itchy foof lol
I used to find that as well as the pessaries n stuff, slathering a sanitary towel with canestan and taking anti histamines worked quite well.

My ex-wife was like that, one little chuckle and it was dribble time... that'll teach her to neglect her Kegels after the births!

this about the yoghurt thingy hun
A natural alternative is natural live yoghurt applied inside the vagina through a syringe, which alters the acidity inside the vagina, making the environment much less favourable for these organisms which cause thrush.
You can also take Yakult or a supplement such as Multibionta, which re-colonize the bowel with large numbers of healthy bacteria which prevent the build-up of yeast-like infections in the bowel which are then transmitted to the vaginal area.
although i think u would need a turkey baster as opposed to a syringe :giggle: :giggle: :giggle:
found this too hunny....serious head on now i promise!!

might help?!
I told my doc I couldnt keep the natural yoghurt to stay in and when i left a trail in sainsburys i got complaints ... she told me just to eat it in large quantity it works the same way.
