I wanted to be one of the Tomorrow people. I longed for one of those belts so that I could “jaunt” every where.

Sappho, I for one remember 'The Flashing Blade'. It inspired me even then. As did BELLE AND SEBASTIAN, PEOPLE!!!!
'And I seem to remember Wagon Train - didn't that have a young Clint Eastwood in it or am I thinking of something else?'
Alex, that would be 'Maverick'. It was while he was doing that that C. Eastwood esq. went to see 'Jojimbo' and got the idea for 'A Fistful Of Dollars.
I can't believe I haven't seen anyone mention The Goodies yet.
Double Deckers.

Probably!!!
Even the mention of the name 'woodentops' makes me smile...
Before and after that our family lived abroad and I seem to have missed out on most of what you lot are talking about - most weird!!
Morning all
Andy Pandy was just a little before my time (not much though) but I still chuckle when I remember Des O'Connor doing an Andy Pandy sketch and getting in the box with looby-loo!
Now I remember - Clint Eastwood started in Rawhide (Get 'em in, move 'em out........)
Alexandra,
Robert Horton played the part of the scout in Waggon Train though I can't remember the name of the person he played. Horton later went on to make a few records, none of which made the top 10. He then disappeared into obscurity.

Yes - I realised later that I had got the program wrong. I'm even having doubts about Rawhide now. I think Clint's character was called Dusty though. I was very little when it was on - I just used to sneak down and watch these programs whilst sitting on the stairs and peering between the spindles!
Another memory - The Outer Limits (doo doo do doo)
Alex... if you remember Ivanhoe how not Andypandy?
I recall toytown on the raido when I got home from school.... we did not have a tellY
sad
Gmanxxx
I'm not sure gman - I used to have to watch the stuff my older brother & sister watched so maybe they didnt like AP?
It may even be that the memory comes from a re-run or just a pic of Roger Moore dressed as Ivanhoe.
Oh there's another one - the Saint - my name is Simon Templar!
The there was the persuaders... Roger and Tony Curtiss... mind races away to Jamie Lee Curtiss....mmmmmm
Gmanxxx
I remember as faves Willo the Wisp and the Magic roundabout.
And the Moomins.
Those are the oldest I can remember. The others weren't all that long ago so I wont shame myself by telling them.
I can remember Bill and Ben the Flowerpot Men and Muffin the Mule
(before it became a sexual offence, lol ) They were in Black and White in those days. Giving my age away here I think. rolleyes

Does anyone remember Tony Blackburns morning radio programme.
Would love to have a wav. of that kid that always said 'Ello Darlin hahaha' and the dog that barked, cant remember his name.
So if anyone has those sounds, would be dead grateful if you could send me them biggrin
Oh such fond memories :D
Arnold.... but was not Ello Darlin Ed Stewpot Stewart?.... he still uses it on Sunday evening on R2
Gmanxxx
ahhh Arnold, thats it!
I think you're probably right about Stewpot Stewart, oops - so want to have that wav. Just brilliant!
Not exactly 'on topic' sorry - I'd really like to have a recording of Robin Williams singing Fire' as Elmer. Funniest thing ever.
lol
Misschief... not sure but would have thought the techies would be able to advise if it could be cut from a digital recording of the ed stewart show...
am sure you could with the right hardware /software record it via the internet....
any techies care to advise?
