To all the mods that have stepped down, and those still with their hats on, thanks for the shite you've put up with over the last 2 or 3 years kiss

I totally understand your reasons for stepping down, I gave my hat up a month or so ago with the same thinking. I'm amazed anyone could see any of this as a flounce rolleyes

but then.... nah, I'll leave it at that ;)

In all seriousness i really can't believe there are many sites on this world wide web where people would care if mods leave. Here they do because of the fact that the mods are real people who not only have made this a safe community to be part of but also are friends in real life to many many people here. I am sorry to see Angel, steve, Mal and Blue give up their hats and I hope those who stay will be given the respect they deserve by all new people who have joined the site over the last couple of months.

I know exactly what you are saying Scandal but it is the end of an era for a lot of folks!!
Hardly the end of the world tho' I agree.
The site, as it was, has been a significant part of some people's lives for a long time, and the Mods finally jacking it IS IMHO a pretty sad indictment for the site and what it has now become COMPARED to how it was. I have no doubt that new members, which every site / community / brazier needs to thrive and develop will have fun and those willing to put some effort into being part of it will get something out of it.
However if there's a "purvy" on the go................can I get some sausage rolls as well........ wink

Hi Corrie, I think you're wrong, very wrong. There are lots of sites like SH. It's a bit insular to think this is a very special place in the whole wide world isn't it?
I've enjoyed SH very much but there really are lots and lots of interpersonal sites on the web and dozens? thousands? dunno

of swinging sites all over the world.
One of the things I like about the changes to this site is that a whole load of new people came along, some of whom are great. smile

I dont agree Scandal sorry. I dont believe moderators on sites are known in the same way but actually I really dont care about those other sites as they arent my community and if I am insular you are very brave to tell me that publicly lol

On a serious note....
I want to thank the now retired mods, even if some of the things they did I personally didnt agree with but they were as fair, if not more so, than many on a lot of sites... and would always respond to a private PM if a disagreement arouse explaining their reasons, for having spent a huge of personal time at no profit to themselves keeping this forum fairly clean of outright arguments over discussion and moving posts to the releivent section.
I hope they wont be gone for good, but will pop in in their non-modded personas to give witty ridicule and informed debate in equal measure.
To the remaining mods, keep up the good work, but dont over do it and knock yourselves out due to the reduced numbers.
To the owners... seeing as you are potentially making a profit, then I hope that you show your mods some part of that finantial gain over and above free membership. I know they may not specifically want it or would not ask but fair is fair as SH is now a comercial enterprise then its only right that all thoes that put in time and effort to help out should be sutably recompenced.

As a couple who joined this site over a year ago as Katie & John, and then changed our ID about 4 or 5 months ago (the search button is your friend lol) we have always loved this site.

Well it's been nearly two years fer me. I know the four of you in varying degrees. It's curious that even though there's little interaction directly with an individual, you at least know their site persona quite well.
