Just wanted to ask if anyone else on here is experiencing a sudden influx of time wasters on this site? I have met some fantastic people in the last year but it seems from mid November there has been a sudden increase in people who arrange to meet and then dont bother turning up..without even a text or an excuse afterwards.
It does seem frustrating that there is no way for these people to be flagged up...and with so many men saying how difficult it is to meet women its a shame there are some letting the side down so much.
What are your thoughts?

I Just wish I had £1 for every time someone has mentioned time-wasters or started a thread about them ffs I'd be richer than Bill Ga*es Look upon it a bit like chatting this "sure thing" up in a pub or disco and then finding out they are just using you for drink, or for chat until their boyfriend/girlfriend/wife/husband turns up.

the question i would ask is how are you meeting these people... the forums tend to work differently to the chatrooms, which again tend to work differently to the ads
same where meeting people in clubs tend to work differently to meeting people at socials and munches
if it is not working for you.. then maybe it is time to change the way you do things...
I know that this is about to sound really harsh... but you are just this weeks "complainer"... if you do a keyword search of the word "time waster" it comes up week after week after week after week....
so, no it isn't new... yes, it is a pain... and yes, it happens to most of us... all you can do is move on
if you want to know why there is isn't a flagging system here... do a keyword search for "varification" then spend 6 hours going thru that thread.....

it happens to most people, all you can do it brush yourself down and move on.......

Your points are valid but........when you have been let down, and it has cost you 40 quid in sitters fees, for someone not to turn up, it makes " dealing with it ", very hard indeed.
Luckily for us it has only happened once, but we know others that it has happened to a few times. People just need to make doubly sure that the people they meet, are as genuine and as honest, and have passed YOUR checks. Whatever they maybe to the individuals concerned.

Just got me thinking about times spent waiting for 1)Gasman to visit to sort cooker; 2) plumber to visit to sort washing machine; 3) Postman to visit with parcels; 4) Tesco's to visit with online shopping order..and buses don't work to timetable; trains fail to arrive or depart on time; a visit to the shops for a particular item is in vain.... and so on and so on.. all time wasted and all a pain in the neck!
Nothing different here, and why would it be??
HOWEVER when the timing is right, the people are right and the play is right then the outcome is awesome!

Why not try and do as we do arrange to meet up for a drink socially, doesn't have to be at night in an expensive pub.
We use the site as much to get out and about to meet new people and get to new places as much as anything sexual.
We see it like this.......
Have a chat on msn put pics up (not send them)to see if we are all attracted physically as this is important to us, and arrange to talk on the phone fem to fem either right there and then or the next day. If the phone call doesn't materialise then its good old "block and delete" if it does we know they are genuinely a couple and both parties are interested!!
Then start to arrange times dates when they can meet and arrange a location, usually halfway between, though sometimes we will travel if its a bit of a distance.
We don't meet up with people that are really far away as its impractical most of the time, though we don't mind travelling within reason as we will get a hotel in the area and use it as an excuse to go out for the day/night somewhere new and if the meet up falls thru or we don't click, then its not a wasted journey.
We realise people have differing commitments such as kids, financial worries etc, so its each to their particular thing, but in the way we have kind of got to doing things its a win/win situation.
If we dont meet up with the couple for whatever reason (plumbing emergency etc etc ad infinitum) then we still have a good day out and go for a meal and enjoy ourselves together as a couple rather than stress or worry that the other people didn't show!!

40 quid is for two kids!! Also they are not family as we tend to send the kids to them, so we can entertain at home which we prefere. There is a reason why we have only been let down once, and that is because we is very careful. Being that way seems to sort out the timewasters on here. We won't get stung again!!
