Call me cynical if you like,(here we go), but don't you get a tad fed up with the commercial of what christmas is really about?

Exactly, cc. Is why it's nice to have this commercial hiaitus.
I am sure the telly ads have been Christmassy in October before, but this year - no!!
Bath city centre is just beginning to erect the decs, but they're not obtrusive.. yet.
I think it is lovely that it seems to be shoved back to November (I am sure thry can't hold out while December)
And yeah, Diwali and Eid - make room for these down south too, I say.

TBH, it is very rare that I watch commercial TV, anyways. That might have something to do with it. Late night C4 don't seem to be running Christmas ads, is what I should have said.

Maybe they've finally done it and deemed Christmas in the high street to be totally politically incorrect and offensive to everybody, thus banning it forever along with religious images.

Yes. I feel it's the lull before the storm though,and i have to own up to a touch of envy that celebrations such as Divali, and eid are celebrated today with a reverence that the uk en mass,(no pun intended) did in a bygone era.I hope the commercialists wear their chains of greed for eternity.
