To fringe or not to fringe, that is the question....

Bit of a boring thread this.. but having a bit of a dilemma. I have been growing my hair for six months now, and the front bit is driving me bonkers. rolleyes When I wear it loose it keeps going in my eyes when I haven't got my specs on.
What has prompted me to think like this, is the CSI thread.. Pauley Perrette has the same colour hair as me, and I am a bit of a goth too...I think she looks pretty gorgeous.. would a fringe like hers suit me? It would certainly stop me from screaming when I get another hair stuck to my eyeball because of the wind.... redface
What do you guys think? I would be interested in your comments!!
I thank you.
I think you look gorgeous as you are, although Pauley Perrette looks pretty damn hot with a fringe.
What suits one person though may not suit another that's all I'll say - I'm sure you'll make the right decision as to what will look best for you.

Thank you for the compliment hun! kiss
I just walked to my local hairdresser to see how much it would cost.. and it was closed... must be a sign! Thinking of cutting one in myself..
Eeeeeeeeek no please don't do it yourself unless you know what you're doing, it could all go wrong and wonky and all sorts of things lol

It's not about similarity of hair colour though is it? Fringes suiting people come down, in my opinion, to face shape, hair type and also your commitment to styling them.
Nola x
I used to have a fringe when I was a little younger, and it suited me then, and I used to cut hair as a hobby, so have a pretty good idea of what to do... just waiting for a pm from the other half to see what he thinks!!!
Thanks for popping onto my thread!
Well......if you do decide to cut your fringe you know where my PM box is for me to give you my honest opinion (and I promise not to have too much of a perv looking at you)
Perv away! He just pm'd me and is going to photoshop a pic to see what it would look like.. watch this space......
hes SO techy miss K...wish my other half was like that!

What she said wink
If you're talking about the girl with the pigtails, she has a very different face shape to you, and can get away with pretty much anything anyway as she's very young.
I do everyones hair in our house. Sometimes I even use scissors :scared:

I cut my own fringe in recently :scared:, got sick of the side fringe getting in my way
Had lots of good comments though
It really does come down to face shape etc, and can make the person look younger depending on the style of hair in the first place.
Am off to the bathroom to cut it... thats what was happening to me TanKinky, it has been driving me mad the past few days while its been windy.
My face shape is similar to the NCIS girly, my profile pictures don't show my face very well, but had a couple of nice emails saying it would suit me.. so here goes!
My hair goes past my shoulders, so quite long.. will get my other half to post a pic for me..
Thanks for dropping in! kiss

i love sweeping fringes, but hate block fringes.
i dont like women who have big fringes covering their face.
just my 2 cents.
I got my scissors and cut a fringe.. it looks quite nice! And best of all, I can see... and I am happy with it. And as long as I'm happy with it...

Absolutely.
I never consult anyone on haircut decisions. That way if it goes wrong I only have myself to blame! wink Not that I cut my own hair mind... I have curly hair... it needs professional tending!
Just a blast of trivia, if you were American you wouldn't be talking about fringes, you'd be referring to them as "Bangs".
I'm wondering if there's something Freudian there somewhere!
Thanks for your support Nola! feeling pretty good about myself right now... I wish I had curly hair.. I used to spend loads on perms.. but they never took! I bet your hair looks lovely xxxx kiss

nope, my ex was though.
its just my opinion, i hate to see a girl with a pretty face cover it up with a load of hair.
i suppose its kind of on the same level as women who dont like guys who cover their face with a full beard?
Aha....
Picture posted on profile.. might take a while to show up though!
I once was in a similar dilema so had one of those sweeping fringes, that way you can clip it back close to the ear and it looks like you havnt got one.
Im lucky that my hairdresser knows what I like so I go in and say do what you want, at the moment ive got it all dark underneath ( all the way round) and blonde ontop ( to cover the greys)
Your hair sounds lovely! I was about three weeks growth off a sweeping fringe but it was driving me insane ...
