It's not only Tourettes that leads to this 'type' of behaviour either. Due to the fact I have Aspergers I squeak and do other little odd things! lol
It's almost invisible to the average person these days, but when you're in a slient lift and you do a brief impression of a guinea pig it can be a little embarassing!
cool

Awwwwwww babes!
And i would have thought it was me making you squeal!!!!
BUGGER !!
Thought this thread was about castle battlements redface

What wonderful spelling there :lol2: Do you mean Tourettes? :lol2:
I'm more the person that kinda waffles on ..... and on ..... and on :undecided:
Can't bear them silences you see. I'm not one that's comfortable with silences when with people I don't know very well.
But when I'm with David, oh how I wish for just one little silence, just one now and again lol

I need to ask this.... does anyone think that this thread has been influenced in any way by Pete in Big Brother? The reason I ask is because Tourettes now seems to be the discussion of choice and it all seems to be down to him. That's not in any way a critisism.... I think he's done a brilliant job of popularising an otherwise akward (if not ) affliction.

I agree, and having first hand experience ie.. my son.. it is one of those things people find funny to talk about but awkward to encounter.
It is not just all about swearing, but the random noises and jerks they have to live with too.
No amount of medication will ever stop the embarrassment or helplessness felt by the sufferer and carer.
Well done to Pete!! I should say I have a 6yr old autistic son. Not quite the same but the idiosyncrcies make people stop and stare. Do I give a shit? No because I understand a great deal about his disability and why he is like he is...Funny how people think that mentioning and talking about somebody`s disability is often taken as offensive and dirty. Tell you what, if I hadn`t been able to laugh at the ridiculously nonsensical things he does as a result of his a, I`d have gone mad Pete
