Txt to landline...

Don't know how many of you caught a R1 show about texting a text message to a landline..... Well I just got one!!!
Very posh voice over woman going "I want you to.......! Okay I managed to listen to a little bit more before I was rolling on the floor laughing!!!

So now what I want to know is - if anyone heard the show - can they remember how to A) replay the message and b) stop it?. If I recall the show corectly - I am going to get the same message all night!!!
Nice thoughts that it might have conjured up, but....... :shock:

Scott Mills on radio 1 was saying a few weeks ago that on certain networls you can text a landline number and one of those "vioces" delivers your text message to the landline. It rings - you pick it up - you get this message.
I wasn't too sure to believe him. But I got one tonight!!!
And the only thing I can remember is him saying that the downside is that you get the same message every hour unless you know which button to press to stop it - and I don't know which button to press!!
Does anyoen else knwo what I am talking about???????? Or do I really live in a parallel world?

I think I saved the voice mail from BT about it on 1571 Rainbows...gives you the number to dial for more info, Ill log out (not broad band enabled) and check, then pm you the number

Send a text to their landline number. If you happen to be on the correct network (I missed which one) they'll get your message read out to them every hour .... :twisted:

Well, Im no help, saved the 'congratulations you have won a comp you never entered' voice mail, but must have hit 3 instead of 2 for the BT one :doh:

i know mobile allow you to send messages to a landline
Does that help..
I also know that mobile are doing a massive site relaunch so anyone using it dont be surprised if on wednesday or thursday next week things change...... Just to pre warn you.
(oh and if you see any jokes i posted earliwer please tell them, as it shouldnt be there)
