blimey thanks for your responses peoples i actually posted the postcard in the wrong place meant to add it to a thread I'd written before I left...too much champagne before dinner...anyway.....Its good to be home - and back in action. lol

LOVED the translation DaveJ. Especially sharksfin and semolina paella. see where youre coming from lol
The trip was a shopaholics' holiday - a shopaholiday - for me and my lovely mum. My credit card is buckling with the weight but i can recommend the city to anyone who appreciates good clothes, good lingerie, good shoes....and very lovely talent....
but as I was with mother I didnt get the opportunity to practice french kissing with the dark-skinned well-dressed boys that stroll up and down the Ramblas cool as cool

I enjoyed the scenery and was thankful not to be distracted from shopping and tapas. And champagne.
Sorry I dont have a knicker wetting account of a sordid outrageous affair with my hotel porter involving my new belt and his silver trolley. I do , however, have a gorgeous outfit for the essex munch. so its not all bad.... :lol: :lol: :lol:

Ah how I remember the Ramblas. Many years ago, pension cost us 23 ptas for 2, prostitutes working the street under our window. Had to clap your hands for a local security man to come an open the door at night.
Wonderful old restaurant just off called Los Caracoles, I wonder if it's still there.
Talking politics with gorgeous raven haired Catalan girls in a quiet voices (in case Franco's secret police were listening).
Ah yes, I remember it well.
