You were first with "queuing" so I'll answer your question.
As the Moon has no atmosphere I assume that the temperature is equal to the average temperature of the universe, most of which is a vacuum, or as has been described by someone cleverer than me as being "mainly nothing filled with everything" and, simultaneously, "everything filled with nothing" so obviously the temperature is just above Absolute Zero, or about -273 Degrees C

Nope, wrong answer but a nice try smile
The temperature would not be equal to the average temperature of the universe, it has a signficant mass and annual temperatures as a result, influenced by our freind Kelvin and most importantly the Sun.
It strikes me that this question could be a thread killer so I'd like to retract it (but if anyone can answere feel free).
So the next question is ................
How do you work out the volume of a sphere?

was it johnny morrison rolleyes

I've a one for you all.... talking of famous theorists..
- Which theorist famously conducted a study whereby the subjects were led to believe that they were giving real electric shocks to another in an experiment on learning rahter than obedience? -

would that be milgram study of obedience which was an initial study on memory if i recall lol teacher and learner situation...
It is indeed brainy box! It was Milgram and it was all about how far you would go for research purposes or in other words what you would do to obey people. Very interesting study but very wrong I thought.
They did this one a few years ago again...for a tv programme, cant remember what it was called now (only caught it once). Very interesting study though..
whose study included mirrors and painted red spots on chimps to see if they had self-recognition
Gallup?
well done anais lol the study was in 1977 by gallup workin with preadolecent wild born chimps..mirror was given for a few days and they attacked it thinkin it was another chimp after 3 days the chimp accepted the mirror and began to explore his own body through the mirror... the chimp was then anethetised and painted with red spots..same was done with a control group who had no mirror..control group were not interested in the red spots and just attacked the mirror....mirror group explored their own body and the changes that had accurred
quiet apt as it is red nose day in 15 min
next question can you tell me wat is unusual about the batista family??????
hisnhers i cant remember who studied there own children .... is there 3 or 4 children ??? the way you worded the question ... second child??? middle??? child ???

I instantly thought four-thirds pi R cubed (sad b*st*rd, or what!) but chickened out and Googled it. I should have had the courage of my convictions - but I don't want to discuss my convictions in public lol

First, I meant that I had googled for the answer, I wasn't inferring that you had. I was just being lazy!
Second, I realised (as soon as I had logged off) that it was the dumbest question ever!
Third, the only excuse I have is the combination of my natural inability to communicate and my tiredness. That's also my excuse for transposing "to" and "too" in the phrase "to easy too...".
I don't expect, or deserve, a response to this post - but I felt I had to apologise publicly for being a prat! redface

I watch University challenge but only get on average 3 questions right  so no question from me then lol
Louise xx
I would have said Adler to the earlier question too but I was beaten to the answer. Without looking it up and ignoring our sun which is the cleverest answer; is it Aldebaran? I pass on the right to set a new one if I happen to be correct as I am only here sporadically.
other then the human being what is the only other mammal that has sex purely for pleasure?
xxx fem xx
nope, they do it do reproduce, not just for pleasure
xx fem xx
