Venusxxxx
Tell me about it. in the chatroom I used to get more PVTs as roger743_away than as roger743_wmids_<ad number>. banghead

Get this.
I just had a MSN from what I thought was a friend of mine in Swansea - similar handle.
But it was this:
"Hi, saw your name on Swinging Heaven and thought you might like a chat"
What a loser eh?
Needless to say I put him in his place and deleted him

Ooops must remember not to try and start conversations with people in future. At the risk of being shot down in flames I don't actaully understand what is wrong with this message. To me its just the same as someone in the pub saying - Hi how are you doing? Surely its only becomes a problem if folk persisit after you have said no thanks - please don't message me again.

I was thinking the same thing CQ, but I didn't say anything 'cos I didn't want flaming. surprisedops:

I can see how some people may not see this as being a problem.
The same way as they may say that Bi fem getting Pms isn't a problem.
But if the person receiving it sees it as a problem and harrassment, then it is.
The point being, from my example of this tdoay - I don't have my YIM or MSN on display - this guy has gone to my email, and taken that as a method to open a chat. He's bypassed the forum and even the PM internal system.
Some may view this as "sinister"
Some may say "so what"
I just commented on it because it happened today, following on from this thread.

And, ironically, I just had another PM waiting for me just now, again from a name I don't recognise.
Makes you wonder if they ever read the posts we make or just harvest girls' names for PM hassle

I've just had a really SAD one, saying "wanna chat"..... how SAD is that! I said that I wanted to chat about how SAD he is..... I hope the SAD git is reading this, cos I really would like to chat about his SADness.
I bet that's the same guy who just wrote to me as well, Blue
"wanna chat".
Oh for a name and shame...
Rachel

Should have said to him "Actually, I desperately want a shag, but you have blown your chance now.... Bye..."
Maybe that would just fuel him even more... LOL...
bi fem .so tempted to send a pm saying how i liked you avatar lol
Awwwww ty bunny kiss I trust your talking of this one and not my origanal one as I was promtly told that is was not allowed sad ( read up you'll see by who :( )
If you would like to PM me i can let you have the URL where I got it from as there are hundreds if not thousands more on there ( Many of bunnys lol ) rolleyes
The majority of my received PMs are uninvited, but definately not unwanted. rolleyes
I love them all, even the one's that are trying their luck, you can have a bit of friendly banter even if they're not what you're looking for. biggrin :D
After all, isn't that what we're here for, to make new friends? confused :?
Keep 'em coming I say!! :thrilled: :thrilled:
i wanted to ask a member a question so out of the blue i sent a pm , the person in question did ( does) not know me from adam , but they very kindly sent a very nice pm back in answer to my question , i think that banning all pm,s would be a backwards step because the genuine members here ( us fairly new ones anyway ) would not be able to contact anybody else if needed , sorry for the ramble smile
i can only imagine the ladies that get constantly bomabrded with gis a shag stuff must get occasionally fed up fair play, ive been guilty of the odd univited but never for a shag lol usually to offer off list advice , and i always appologise for sending the pm, a little courtesy goes a long way, never had a complaint yet bet i do now though lol
I`ve been in there for a few hours....and I only recieved 2.
I`m beginning to feel inadequate

I never replied to either of them. One because I wasn`t even there, there other because it was hard enough trying to keep up with the main room at the time, without worrying about uninvited PMs. Granted, you may have been one of the `good guys` but then you could have easily been one of the 68768 A/S/L guys confused

I'm in agreement with SCQ here. We all voluntarily have a 'presence' on the web, presumably because we want to contact people. Look at any person on your list of regular contacts and ask yourself if any of them would be there if someone hadn't spoken first. Don't know what all the fuss is about.

I think they should be compulsory! biggrin
I can't understand anyone not wanting them.
Well, maybe if it was thousands a day that could be a pain, but hey, not even I'm that popular. :rotflmao:
Blimey, I've just noticed... nearly up to 500 posts... must do something really deep and meaningful and memorable and brilliant for my 500th.
Then again, I could just be me! lol
