After trawling this site i can't seem to find anywhere in the north that looks like a good venue. They all appear to be grubby/badly done up. The La Chambre for example looks cheap and tacky and the tilling in the steam room is awful. Other places must be able to offer better venues. Any suggestions?

Belle Baise advertises itself as something luxurious and more upmarket .......... haven't a clue what it's like, as I've not been, nor does it sound like my particular thing. I'm just going on what they advertise - but might be worth checking it out.

We can recommend La Chambre,
Our complaint was the lack of toilets for such a large venue, but overall we thought it was very good.
We haven't been since 2004 and understand its had some areas added since then, but we hope to go back soon.
Infusion is Blackpool is nice too but sometimes a little quiet. Call them ahead and find out what is the best night to go. Saturdays is the best night for both venues for couples. (Couples only) We also quite like Euphoria in Blackpool, its a hotel and its different to most other clubs, but if dancing is your thing, you will like it, plus they now also have a jacuzzi.

Is there a reason why Townhouse is written in asterisks in this post? Just wondering. We like it, and the people who run it.
I always thought Wednesbury was a funny town name, as if it only exists one day in the week...

we couldnt agree with you done the clubs around yorkshire its got to the point where we dont go that often chambre is old dated & tacky and still wants a membership fee,and as for isis in leeds what a somewhere is missing out on a brilliant business venture around the leeds/wakefield is wanted is the next generation of clubs with better surroundings which in turn may attract a different calibre of a couple we would be prepared to may more for it as well.

Bella Basie is amazing but its expensive, and you have to go in front of a pannel just to get in.

theres a great new club opened up in the grantham area if thats any good? its called Emeralds and it is clean ,well equipted and the hosts are wonderful too. go check it out, its in club had a major revamp and everything is like new, the rooms are gorgeous, theres a bar with pub priced beer, and you even get a small buffet thrown in to for the isnt a problem either,and theres is loads of parking spaces for cars with cctv cameras on them while you relax.......
