Hello all
Firstly appologies for another new thread but thought its the best way to let you all know how things stand
Secondly a BIG Thank You to everyone for your kind words and thoughts, especially the couple of people (you know who you are) who sat up talking to Calista last night.
OK......
As it stands at 08:30 Tuesday morning we still don't know 100% what is wrong with Caz. She has a white blood cell count in the region of 30 times what it should be, coupled with a couple of other symptoms the hospital is 99% sure that it is leukemia, but until they get the results of the blood tests they tok last night they won't know for definate.
On the 'up' side, a lot of comfort is taken from the fact that if it does indeed turn out to be leukemia at least it is curable and shes at possibly the best hospital in the country for dealing with it.
So thats the state of play.....obviously i'm going back to the hospital as soon as i can, unfortunately we have our other daughter off school with a sickness bug and Calista can't just take the morning off work, so i have to hold fire until she can finish.
Thanks again
Morbius
Speaking as a Union person, I believe Calista could take the morning off work, and more, as compassionate leave. As it is her step daughter, and whathave you. Also, she could take a 'parental' about the other kiddie... is all quite possible. I mean, is she gonna be much use at work anyway?
Hope you're all bearing up,
V
Ive been in hospital many times with my youngest to Birminghams so my thoughts are with you all.

All the best to you .
As you may know my son was diagnosed with pnut cancer three years ago. It pushed the tumour onto his nerve and he lost the use of his right leg for 18 months
these are worrying times but I can only say he has made a complete recovery and it is truly amazing how good the care is
I can particularly sympathise with you at this difficult time hold on in there
Having nearly lost our son at a few months old. I know what you must be going through.
My thoughts and best whishes are with you, calista and your daughter.
Best regards
Allan
