user ID''s....another slant on an old chestnut!!

I know we have had numerous threads on why you have chosen your SH user ID,
but i was wondering ( Im bored, cant you tell lol

) if you would or have ever been put off by someones user ID, because it was offensive, distasteful or downright nasty
Or have you ever been tempted to have a peek at someones profile to see if they match the description/boast of their ID.
Or been intrigued by an unusual ID to go and find out more about the person?
Obviously I dont want you to name names/ID's, but i was just interested in the way peoples initial perceptions of a user may be swayed by a username.

I tend to get a bit put off by IDs that include the word 'lad'. Not sure why, although they do tend to be a little (ahem) older.
Ones like Cumpintsoveryurface are offputting. biggrin

Some really intrigue me and I want to ask why they were picked but it seems too nosy - maybe they refer to something that would identify them in their real life.

Hi im fanny and errr yes im a fanny -
I think the blokes names on here are most interesting and can usually guess the *cam watchers* from the decent stuff by user names imo anyways.
Those called bigcock fun wanted now massive cock bigones steves####number whatever blah blah i dont like much those with names like some of the forumites rolleyes

and the eyes for instance i think have had some thought put into it and tells me there is about that person same applies to couples in a way i guess
ifd that makes any sence at all wink

The main thing for me is that someone has given some thought to what they call themselves in here. The more thought they seem have put into it, the more I am likely to take notice of what they post and be inclined to find out more about them. The Sarge put it best once - I hope he doesn't mind me quoting his words of wisdom on this, he put it much better than I could.

It is no coincidence that the "Regulars" and those that have been here for more than 12 months all have perfectly normal and aceptable names. There isn't a "Fuckmenow" or "Twat-teaser" amongst them.
As a Mod I am wary of anyone that has a silly name and tend to keep an eye on them more than others. There is probably no logical reason for this but it is just human nature. Some of the names are off putting others intriguing.
