i was just wondering if someone has had a vasectomy would it encourage people more to respond to ads or meet the said person? lots of women prefer bareback so it women worry about becoming pregnant through a swinging experience or are they more worried about stds? this may seem a strange topic but its just something thats been playing on my mind on the drive back from warwick.
cool
Although we only meet couples at the mo, if we were to meet a guy then no, it wouldn't make me want to consider someone more, in fact, it actually worries me when a guy specifically states that on an add or profile as I take that as meaning they are happy with bareback and the risks this entails.
It makes me think that this is their usual practice and that the only concern for them is not getting someone pregnant, rather than STD risks.
We have in the past not used protection when we have played, which we now regret and hopefully won't do again, and now will get checked up regularly just in case, the main reason being how easy it is to catch an STD.
Although I am on the pill, it isn't 100% effective, so the issue of pregnancy would be a worry still ( I can think of nothing worse than the thought that I was pregnant without being sure whether it was with den or not).
The vasectomy part would still not take this worry away, (how do you really know for sure?) but the main issue would be the disregard of any thought to his or your own health.
Vasectomy or no vasectomy, the risk of catching an STD is far too great, so it would be an instant rejection to a guy advertising this as one of his 'features'.

I have been vasectomised for the past ten years, but I reserve bareback only for a few VERY close and trusted people. As far as I am concerned std's are a real no no, and well, by the very nature of the swinging lifestyle we are a high risk group.
My partner and I usually play in a small, closely defined circle, any contacts outside this group are definatey non-bareback.

i think this post links in quite well with others that are floating at the moment.......
I personally would not play bear back with anyone as I value my life more than that.....the isssue is not about pregnacy for me but an STI one.....
saying that..........in this world its definately each to their own and everyone is here to make their own decisions..........it's just not something thats for me and i sincerely hope that people in this day and age view condoms as more than just a contraceptive!

Just couldn't agree more than what Kate said.
It's just a game of Russian Roulette playing bareback, and personally it would raise a big :!: and make me think " is this the norm for this person and does he think he's " safe " from everything ". It would have a reverse effect for me in such as a too relaxed approach.
A def no thanks, I'll not take that chance.
I cant have any more kids..... that doesnt make me safe!
Totally agree with what kate said...... look after your own health cos no-one else will do it for you! smile

I had the snip 10 years ago myself and even if he had too I would insist on protection. There's such a wide variety of contraception available now that I think condoms are insisted upon more for protection against STIs than pregnancy
Just waiting for Polo to arrive. :scared: wink
I have no idea what difference a vasectomy would make when you are wearing condoms to protect agains STD's anyway dunno

I can take total control of ensuring I do not get a bun in the oven.
I cannot ensure my partners are free from STI's.
Snip if you wish - but the jacket stays on.

See that didn't hurt much
i had the snip 20 years ago but it wasnt to assist my success rate at swinging hahahah more a case of after having had 3 children, that was enough as part of my contribution to increasing the world population!!!! hence the vasectomy is not a feature on my profile hahahahhaha

I personally wouldn't base my meet on wether someones had the snip or not
surley any women whos in this game is taking birth control even if they do use condoms after all accidents happen and i think you'd be pretty foolish to swing not using some form or birth control, my hubbies had the snip and i honestly do think its a question hes ever asked by women who want to meet him confused
so all in all i think my answer to you question is no lol

but how do you know the other people in this close circle are doing the same? it only takes 1 of you to go bareback and they could infect the whole group, do you really trust your health on someones elses say so?

we all take risks, even condoms arent 100% safe, all it takes is a tear, i know its a smaller risk than going bareback with a few trusted people which i also think is a very silly thing to do, nethertheless swinging is a risk full stop and anyone doing so is puting themselves at risk wether using condoms or not, the only way to be 100% safe from any kind of sti is not to have sex at all lol
