Are vegetarians more prevalent in SH than in society in general.
In the past week I have had conversations with 3 vegetarians in Swinging Heaven.
Are there many more here?
I suspect that this topic might generate a few cheesy replies where people inform us that they are "meat and two veg" type of folks or tell us how much they enjoy "eating pussy".
Then again, "cheesy" can be vegetarian.
Sorry i love my "meat" too much :rascal:
So sorry,it had to be said!! bolt
Not a big meat-eater. Can't be bothered with all the chewing and it plays havoc with my digestive system.
Cheesy? Ewwwww. Furthermore - I don't like fish and I don't want porking.

banghead
No ! No!
Please don't do this, Tunes. Just tell me you didn't mean to say this. It was a slip of the digits on the keyboard even :banghead:
Oh no, bad jokes!
I've been a veggie for 10 years now, and forget the fact that restaurants don't offer much variety, forget the fact that any dish they cook is usually cremated, forget the fact that they don't realise that some of the ingredients they put in veggie dishes arent veggie friendly, the worst thing about it is all the rotten jokes.
Nooooooooooooo, stop right now rolleyes
ummmm i couldnt do with out my sausages
nut on a serious note ......when i follow a veg only diet i feel really well.....i just dont have the will power to say no to a big fat juicy bacon nutty in the morning served with a cuppa tea
i've been a veggie since i was in my teens......blame steven patrick morrissey for this....and a big thankyou to tesco's....they have great variety..........oh and the only meat i eat now as a pulse.....and sits upright on command.....
sophiebifem and nige

Both myself as a working class hero dragged up in the gutter and Silky (born on the American continent) would given the choice exist almost exclusively on a diet of red meat and saturated fats (peanut butter as well for Silk) . Gets harder as ya get past thirty but if somethings too easy its not worth doing right ??
Incidentally I volunteered in the eighties to single handedly improve the face of English pop music by actually eating Morrisey with a small green salad as a side dish , they needn't have even cooked him id have happily eaten him live whilst turning up the volume on a Specials album to drown out him fucking droning .

Sorry - I meant Por King; number 47 at the Red Dragon Takeaway....
(pork scratchings are a bit iffy, too!)
Veggie, well, mostly. If there's nothing else then I'll eat a bit of meat, but really infrequently. Fish I definately don't do.
So in summary, I'm vegetarian, but I eat meat occasionally. Abit like saying I'm a virgin, but I have sex occassionally!
I've bean vegetarian for over twenty years...
Mike.
I used to be a vegetarian, back when the most exciting shop food was bean burgers, or nut roasts. The selection they have today is great. I couldn`t get my head around making up the lost vitamins with lentils etc, so lived off of cheese and onion pasties when I was pregnant. My blood tests showed I was heading toward gestational diabetes (something to do with the amount of pastry I was eating believe it or not) so I quit.

Been a veggie since I was 11..... not one scrap of meat has passed my lips in all that time....... HONEST!
Not a veggie but prefer fish to meat anyday.
I like my meat too much to give it up  biggrin
And you can't beat a nice bit of protein blast

bugger -roo slippy fingers on the key-board again wink
I've been a vegan for years, and was a veggie for many years before that smile I find the whole idea of eating meat a bit strange these days :)
I do eat meat but find it affects my digestive sytem quote badly so end to steer clear of it. Occasionally I'll eat chicken or turkey and I can't stand fish.
So although not a true vegetarian, I do have leanings toward it.

I love pork scratching,mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm yummy!!
Sorry I am a meat lover............... especially a juicy pork sausage cool
Yesterday evening I had 2 veal steaks, a couple sausages and baked beans, lunchtime today I had a ham and tomato sandwich and for dinner I just had one of Sainsbury's fabulous corn-fed chickens along with some mash potatoes and a glass of mineral water ... so I guess that make's me pretty much a carnivour ... I reckon that if everyone else decided to turn vegetarian, I'd be the last one still eating meat ... but I'd pretend it was soya ... ummmm, it tastes so much like real meat ... biggrin
That reminds me ... better get that leg of lamb defrosted for tomorrow ... lol
Well, i know davej must be a secret vegetarian - give his nic a space and he becomes "da vej"
Mike.
As a confirmed vegetarian the only meant Ive eaten has been well and truly alive and kicking though often led on its back at the time!!!
As a socienty we have no need to eat meat we can obtain our protein and other dietry needs without hurting anything.
In fact if we all converted to a vegetarian diet, this country with its wonderful growing climate could increase our production of soya and export it to the less productive 3rd world.
not eating meat isnt just about not polluteing your own body but also about giving others less fortunate a chance to enjoy life.
