i am really curious to see if this is going to work or whether it is going to turn into "elitism"
my biggest grip is that it will split forum and chatroom users further.. since if you want to meet people may then head toward to chatroom.....
i can't see how the dynamics can honestly be that different...... just the speed of it quicker.. or just too quick for me!!! biggrin

To some extent, someone says,
"who are you?"

And that's often it... (apart from me asking who they are of course), I know nothing that goes on in the chatrooms, they are not interested in the forum.
There was that noteable (for me at least) occasion when I was introduced to someone and we were both billed as someone you really should meet, this was just after I'd won the cock shot comp and most people had responded in some way after hearing the name, so we were both expecting to recognise the others name and say "I've been looking orward to meeting you!!!"... Anyway,
Me: "Hello, I'm Marmalaid." (Me expecting some sort of reaction)
She: "Who?" (complete dispassion, and ome disappointment)
Me: "Marmalaid, just won the Cock Shot Comp" (now not expecting so much of a reaction)
She: "Ok, are you new? I haven't heard of you."
Me: (deflated) "Yes fairly new, who are you?"
She: "Helen."
Me: "DreamerHelen?"
Introducer: "No, THE Helen!!!"
Me: "Oh." (Blank, but disappointed look)

ok my only problem with this + is.... who am i telling about my sexlife ? to get a + it seems to me i have to tell an anon admin who i've shagged and when not sure if theres a time limit on it lol I'm very particular who i shag ( ohhh ok then ffs! ) i'm very particular about who i tell who i'm shagging. and i've got a feeling the peeps i've shagged wont be very happy if go telling anon peeps who they are lol ( if i only knew there names )

very divisive i think, people are already starting to ask many of the + for ad numbers etc. agree with Sean and am also inclined to agree with JJ, not sure that i want to be 'branded', so to speak. it may well make the chat room more cliquey.

Well I've read the rules about becoming a verified member. Just one question. If, like myself, you have been a member and user of this site for a long time and have had no luck in meeting anyone, never mind a verified member (whover these secret people are) does this mean I am not a swinger ? Becasue I am. I have mets loads of people via other sites, contact mags etc. For all I know I know, some of them may have been verified members of this site. Should I recontact every swinger I have met and ask them to verify me if they have the power to do so.
No I'm sorry. A far better system would have been for members of this site who fail to keep appointments, or who can be proved to have used other peoples pictures or who attempt to register under diferent aliases, sexes etc, to be permenantly excluded from the site.
Also what about people who advertise, get replies and then don't bother replying back, even to say thanks but no thanks. I think they should be banned too.
Does anyone else agree ?

I think perhaps you fail to appreciate the sheer number of replies that single women and couples can get through their ads. It can be easily be well over 100, in just a few short days, probably more.
Frustrating as it is to not get a reply, even if it's a 'no thanks' (and I should know, I've mailed a hell of a lot), having spoken to couples who have ads up it sounds like a hell of a lot of work for them.

I've just spoke to a friend in the room and he's got a +

but he didn't ask for it.... or get asked if he wanted it !!!
That means someone he's had mucky pervy sex with has given his name to the "anon" and without asking him they've gonna and given him a + nice if you want it i suppose.. but it makes a mockery of the whole thing.

Its a chat client for the IRC (Internet Relay Chat) which is where the chatroom is smile

I think we should all invent our own symbol to represent the various kinds of individual on the board for the chat room . That way we get to choose exactly what kind of person we want to chat to . I mean why limit your choice to active swinger or non active swinger , when the site has so much diversity .
Heres my own individual contribution which I believe would suit myself as a symbol ( but of course could be used for anyone sharing certain traits ). It could appear next to my name so people knew what to expect .

Its the outline of a thrush , anyone care to guess what it represents ?

Yeah but to be verified you have to be known to have participated in consensual and recreational sex with another verified person.... so indeed, someone has grassed you up!
Sorry, I still don't get it as a concept, I don't feel any more comfortable with it and the dodgy definition of "verification", and apart from a few people who thought it was a good idea it seems a lot fo chat users are not actually in favour of it at all.... confused
