I've just recieved a text message off my sister telling me to not log onto MYSPACE - apparently it has been affected by a Trojan that is bypassing virus software. I'm not techy so don't have any other info (validity etc) but thought I would pass the message on. If anyone knows of any sites where I can check out the validity of the warning can you please pass the info on.

Cheers, I have been led to believe that the site in question has security flaws, as malicious script can be added into messages (I have recieved spamming PM's after contacts accounts were affected by a porn virus and by opening the message, your account becomes taken over and messages sent to your address list), just don't know if opening these messages or clicking on a link within the message can cause a virus to be downloaded to your personal computer or not
as my computer did become infected with a trojan several months ago after ignorantly visiting a website containing hidden malicious script.Les x

On an actually serious note, if your PC problems were caused by a trojan then there is NOTHING wrong with your other HDD.

Yep have to agree with that worse case senario a format and clean install would have sorted it, both of which you would have had to have done to the new HDD anyhow. Give it a format then bang it in your PC as a D drive to give ya even more storage capacity

I've got 2 drives in there now so no room for another one. Maybe some day I'll find a non-nosey sympathetic perv to format it for me
