Hi all,
We are looking to visit a club for the first time and don't know the rules etc, we have seen there are changing rooms for towels and robes etc, but, we know this sounds silly, what do we actually wear/change into? Is it naked or dress for the 'occasion'?
Many thanks

When I have been to clubs I've seen guys wearing there undies/shorts or just a towel.. and most women in there underwear/basques stocking so on. Some even wear a towel over there underwear until they feel comfortable.
Some clubs have bar area's where you can stay clothed until you move into the play areas where others prefere you to take you normal clothes off in a changing room before entering.

Rita you can start by asking yourself which club you want to go to and ask them the dress code ect....
or you can ask yourself what you want from the club. A few like the Lodge have socail rooms front of house and there are some with little more than changing roooms before you get to the play room, where most walk around naked, and load in between.
It really is up to you to pick what you want.

'No dress' code for the ones we go to here. It's get your kit off after the security door and wear a towel or sarong for the ladies if they prefer (supplied) or nothing at all.
But, the clubs here are known as Libertine anyway and are less concerned with socialising than they are for mixing in, getting naked and getting shagged wink
Our first time; we just brazened it out and went in with the flow but I can see that if you have someone you know who can get you past that first 'push of the door' anxiety and show you the 'ropes' , it will be well worth it.

for more of the social atmosphere i would recommend trying a club on a party night, these are often advertised on here in the clubs section

It would really depend on the club. Decide which one you are going to and have a look for the dress code on their website or give them a call.
We have been to many clubs and it is rare to see people walking around totally naked (except in the wet areas).
As others have said, men are usually in a towel or boxers and women in underwear. Some clubs want you to dress down as soon as you get there and others allow you to stay clothed in certain areas all night if you want.
Let us know where you are and where you're thinking of going and we might be of more use to you.

Hi everyone.
First let us say thank you for all the advice and thoughts, it's much appreciated.
As for the club we thought of Cupids, simply because it's Manchester and easier to get too. Of course it doesn't have to be, just the location caught our eye.
Best wishes and thanks,

not a club i would advise for a new to clubbing couple, would rather recommend partners in bury if its location of manchester your after. there you can stay in normal clothes in most of the club although it is nicer if in underwear or lingerie for the ladies and a towel with or without undies for the gents.
it has an ace wet area with sauna to relax in

Our experience of Partners is not the same as sara's ... we hated it. Saying that, we have never been on a couples only night which may be a nicer experience as we found the single guys on a mixed night there to be a bit OTT. It put us off and we have never been back.
We have never been to cupids but have heard all good things about it since being taken over by new management. We hope to go sometime in the near future.
Everyone has their own opinions regarding clubs. The best thing to do, (in my humble opinion) would be to have a read of the reviews in the club section and make your own mind up as to which one to go to. Then call or visit the website to ask about dress code.
If you don't like the club you choose, don't be put off. All clubs are different and some more 'full on' than others.

I've not been to Cupids, so can't comment on its rules, but the clubs I've been to have had dress code info on their websites. I also found the Clubs review section on this site (to be found over there <<<<<<<< ) really quite useful.
I've had some of my best nights at clubs when a gang of people from SH have been there, so keep an eye out for organised meets in the Club Meets forum.
Some clubs will arrange for a staff member to give you a guided tour too, which can be a great way of getting a feel for the place.

We've had good and bad nights at both Cupids and Partners.
Last time we went to Partners for a night out by ourselves on a mixed night we were subjected to the very worst behaviour of the towel twitching brigade and screeching couples and vowed we'd never go again. Then again, we always had good nights out before then, and had a good night out there at a more recent social. It's got the best wet area I've seen barring Utopia in Staffs ((( Is that still going? dunno ))) there's a good mix of different types of play rooms, locked and open, and the bar area's a cool place to kick back and relax, dressed or semi-dressed in lingerie or a towel. It was looking a little in need of a sprucing up last time we went.
We've not had a bad night out in Cupid's yet. Functional jacuzzi, decent bar area to relax in with sofas and a small dance floor where mostly the fems relax in lingerie, men in boxers, or both in towels, with a good mix again of private and open playrooms.
We've not been to either over-much for a while, but think if it's your first time out to club so long as you pick one that's busy think it's safe to say whichever you choose it's gonna be an eye-opener! lol smile

I didn't like cupids. Didn't like the fact of paying through a window, being passed a towel, plastic box for your belongings and having to take off your clothes before you enter!!
My preferance are clubs where there is no pressure and you can get changed when you feel like it.

Clubs come in all shapes and sizes just like swingers.
Essentially just like when meeting people, you tend to have a check list, its a good idea to have them with clubs as well.
Do you want to dance and does music get you in the mood or is that not important?
Are you going to want to shower? Do want a pool or a jacuzzi?
Does it serve alcohol or do you need to bring your own? What kind of company do you want?
If its couples only then make sure you go on a couples only night, and if you cannot then try and go to a venue that has a couples only room at least.
If its your very first clubbing experience, you may wish to go on a couples night for your first experience anyways, as you may find it somewhat overwhelming otherwise.
