As a creative type, I've always been very visual from both a "normal" and a sexual point of view. (Yes, that means Im very happy to be a voyeur if needs be and sometimes it's a pleasurable choice).
Notwithstanding that, I love also turning on and being turned on in an atmosphere of soft lighting and sensual massages and sexy discussions (blindfolded on one occasion redface ).
The visual aspect is, nevertheless, very predominant in me and am wondering if others respond the same way (especially women, as it seems men are pre-programmed this way) and how important it is.
A female artist friend of mine once said that to her sex was, in her mind, like a Van Gogh painting, but combining the luridness of de Sade and the sensuality of Rudolph Valentino.
For me, I would say that sex for me is 50% visualisation, 40% a sharing of fantasies and aspirations and intimacy, and the remainder a mix of mood, state of mind and a host of completely unidentifiable parameters!
I'm very visual, so the classic images tend to produce the obvious response with me. Other people respond in as many ways as there can be. They may also need to fulfill some basic requirements before going sensual and erotic.
I think its probably a lot easier for them who respond to visual things, as a good deal of arousal is developed in the imagination.
Its a mood thing for me, though more often than not, being a bloke, its visual.
The right mood however and the right ambiance, the right person and the mind takes over. It helps being a very tactile person too as gentle massage drives me wild.
slight hijack but still on topic, I have a theory, I have a very low pain threshold. dont do pain very well at al. It bloody hurts so stop it now please sort of thing. I am, as said also very tactile, I can feel the slightes breath of air on any part of my body, also very sensual.
Now this got me thinking, does this mean that people like memaybe have nerve receptors closer to the surface?
Just a thoughtl
I think the main thing an orgasm does for me, is to disconnect all the little worries and angst that are lingering away in the background.
This includes letting go of all the erotic stimulation that leads up to it.

That has triggered a memory from a couple of years ago and will definitely take a sober female response to make any sense of it.
I was at a resort run by a fairly well known beach holiday company and after wrenching my back trying water-skiing had a couple of back massage sessions to ease the pain with the resident therapist (who was female).
The first one was uneventful and was very beneficial for my torn muscles but the second one seemed different (or at least I thought so) in so much as she commented how well toned my back was and I could feel her breath on my back and shoulders quite a lot. It was quite erotic but at the time I dismissed it as accidental. I've thought of this event from time to time as perhaps a missed opportunity but perhaps I'm totally wrong.
Maybe as my predicament had altered for the better since the first one I was more relaxed and just noticed it more, or this really was a different type of session I'll never know. It would be curious to get reactions.
I had a sensual experience when getting my eyes tested. It seems really corny and silly.
But she was a gorgeous woman in a smart suit and really got my attention visually. Then the examination in the dark up close as she breathed and I could smell her, was really enjoyable and quite erotic.

In my late teens I used to go to a unisex hairdressers / barbers. After the first few sessions I began to notice that the same woman would always cut my hair. on one occasion she got real close and gently blew on the nape of my neck, the rest as they say is history and we spent a wonderful 6 months in eachothers company.
She told me later that she did it to see if i would react, when she saw the hair rise at the back of my neck so knew I was interested dunno
loon good job though coz we had a crackin time wink
so, maybe it was a missed opportunity for you sad

:violin: you may be correct... oh well, maybe next time (how often do these opportuniites come along!!!) *lol*
Hi, Jane here
I must be very visual because I need to see the long hair around the face of my lover.
I can take a while to get warmed up but with a longhaired man it is a much faster process. I get very turned on watching long hair falling down over shoulders and back after a Tshirt has been pulled over the head, and of course feeling the hair stroking me all over front and back while making love.
Once I am "rolling" I like my face to be buried in the hair and that is probably when I close my eyes and let physical sensations take me over completely.
I must have read too many Tarzan stories when I was young and impressionable!!
I am not sure where my avatar has gone. It was there last week.
Most of the men with long hair happen to be Sikhs and I don't tend to get on with them very well. (see previous thread about asian males) Keep trying though, guys.
