well..i am very much a people watcher....At one time i was a holiday coach rep, taking people to paris. Used to drop everyone off..and had 6 hours to kill before we had to pick them back up. I would go get me a nice spot up at a bar on the Champs Elysees, and sit there with a glass of beer, just watching people and how they interacted with each other, and expressions on peoples faces. Used to love it. And yes I love Big brother. I don't think it is forced. yes they know cameras are there, but after bing in the house for a few days, they must begin to ignore them. they can't play up to the cameras 24 hours a day, for 3 monthes !!! I just like wacthing people i guess !!!

I don't think it's really a question you can ask to be honest, it's like any other 'fetish', it's just something I like, a choice if you like.

Trying to word things differently to make myself more clear now. You sit back and watch in a swinging situation but did you make that choice or did it just happen, I think, crap, I'm not helping am I :lol2:

I've always had a penchant for people watching. I like to imagine who they are, where they're going, what their lives are like... it can fill many an hour when I'm out and about, in town, on a train, at a party etc. Partly I think it appeals to the inner storyteller in me. Everything is good future novel fodder!!

The BB thing is an experiment to see how long people can keep their true nature from the audience, in my opinion
Mmmmmmmm???? Not sure about this. I think Big Brother has become a substitute for the loss of local community in many cities, and talking over the garden fence. It fails as an 'experiment' but satisfies our desire to watch what other people are doing. It also fails in terms of any real information since, as you've indicated, the 'watchees' know they're being watched and so the whole thing is completely artificial.
However whenever I'm out and about I do love to people watch. I'm fascinated by the way people behave and the way they interact with other people. I'm also fascinated by the different ways people walk and talk and express themselves.
There is such a rich bank of information, with subtle differences, that says a lot about the people being watched and about oneself, who is doing the watching, that I find myself being able to watch other people for hours. Such fun!
