They would certainly be banned over here IF we was hosting the games.
The health and safety brigade would have it stamped out overnight...damage to ones ears I would presume. lol
Ban Ban Ban. In my opinion the atmosphere in this world cup is ruined sad Notice theres been no great goal celebrations from fans yet? Well not that you hear anyway. Sure you get the close up faces 2 mins after but the roar of the crowd when a goal goes in is non existent. You just get a slightly louder period of bee's buzzing. I know what else could be done with them but they would require sterilizing afterwards
They are driving me up the wall!!!
Ban the bloody things!
Not planning on watching any more football if I can help it so I really don't care.

Well ,they are as annoying as anything i could possibly imagine, but i am shocked some people are calling for a ban!
Words like cultural imperialism might not be often used in relation to the world cup,but come on should we be telling other football fans how to behave?
For those lucky enough to be unfamilar with the sound

does this now mean you support fox hunting bolt
We got one of those horrid annoying things free with something and Mr Fun in his wisdom decided to show it to our 7 year old son. He thinks its great, us on the other hand .... no so much!!
i watched a match with the sound off.
it was better than listening to a swarm of wasps through the surround sound.
but on the other hand they look useful to beat someone about the head with.

confused .com.
Whats fox hunting got to do with this,as a country girl what has my anti stance got to do with cultural imperialism?
Fun , see proof men are evillol
i prefer nawty as apposed to evil its much more punishable
It'd drive me mad if I was there but to be honest, I just turn the sound down and stick some music on. It's not as though the commentary on the games is that great anyway!

True!
To be honest, I've not found them irritating. I don't know if it is something to do with my hearing (which I suspect is a bit dodgy) but I seem to be able to tune them out pretty well. Others I have been watching the matches with have been unable to do this. Maybe I am less sensitive to that frequency or something? dunno
i wouldnt ban them cus now they seem part of the whole world cup fun !!
they did annoy me at first tho but not now smile

I listened to Chris Moyles and Comedy Dave doing the commentary on yesterday New Zealand/Slovakia match.
Much more interesting ;-)
They are next back on Friday for the Germany match. (I suspect they may mention the war once but might get away with it . . . )
ahhhhh so thats what that awful noise was, i happened to be switching through channels stumbled onto a match, dunno who was playing coz that darn racket had me changinging channels as quick as you could say 'wozzat?' and then i thought i had gone deaf for a fw mins
those poor supporters out there, me thinks the ENT departments across the globe are going to see a rise in patients once the world cup is over
I prefer the sound of them to the commentators lol
Every time I see this word I giggle like a child - is it just me being immature who thinks it sounds rude and like a lady's foof-parts? innocent

Nope, I thought the same redface
A variation on a theme used a few times before but worth watching.
I think the sound of the crowd booing the England team off the pitch tonight made a welcome respite from the noise of the 'zela's. By the end of the 90 mins I didn't know what was annoying me more.... the noise, or the team for being so obscenely rich for being so piss poor!
However, that said...
C'MON ENGLAND FFS!!!!!!
