I was talking to a Professor and he told me in his thick Austria accent "Vater sports is about zee ..."
Let me translate;
The wish to engage in water sports is all about returning to the Voom, sorry womb. Swimming, diving ect is an attempt to return to the warm comfortable pressure of the mothers womb. Some say it is the sport, but no this is just self delusion. Man is full of self doubt and can not face it. All water sport is a regression to the voom.
OK, so much for Herr Professor. Me I like pole dancing as a water sport.
Any other insight to water sports.

Obviously watersports means different things to different people.......as both a swimmer and a w/s enthusiast I have to keep a clear head at all times. On a smiley note, I recently passed a resort near Narbonne on the Med which had a huge sign with 'Watersports' over the entrance. The next few kilometers were driven in a state of confusion.....!"
