what is cuckhold?????
Hi Carl....the brief definition is:
A cuckold is a married man whose wife has sex with other men. In current usage it sometimes refers to non-married couples in committed relationships as well, although the traditional meaning is a man whose wife is adulterous.
Taken from here:

HTH
I wonder who came up with the word
possibly a Mr A. Cuckold
i thought it comes from the fact cockolds steal others nests.
its a couple whos wife has sex with other men, while the hubby has no contact.
xx fem

Yep, I seem to remember in the dim and dark past that involved English Lit lessons, might have been Chaucer or the Bard (both randy buggers), but cuckolds were definitely mentioned. Am pretty sure it originates in some sort of natural phenomenon just as fem has described...

Isn't it supposed to imply some sort of reluctance or ignorance on the part of the husband ? Historically, that meant he didn't know, everyone else did and therefore he was the subject of some ridicule. This may be a populist definition.
The modern swinging context is, I think, more supposed to be the exquisite but slightly disturbing sight of yer partner being fucked by another man.
Personally, I can't understand the concept. I'd only want Angelica to have sex with another man if she was enjoying it - and that would be my pleasure. If I am there then I'd want to contribute to her pleasure (and join in). Still haven't managed that yet though. sad
.
I rememebr reading somewhere, as choon said, from the past, the husband was subject to ridicule for not knowing about his wifes infidelities......
these days, from what I can gather, this translates into.... as well as the sight of the wife beng fucked by another guy, theres an element of them 'ridiculing/humiliating' the husband by intimating that the lover is a better shag/more virile/bigger/better/longer/faster than hubby and he sits , watches and listens to this deriving his sexual gratification from this.
Further to this, once the lover has left, husband is then humiliated even more and ordered to 'clean up' wifey from the 'mess' left behind by the lover (and I dont mean emptying his ash tray and washing up his wine glass either!!) wink
