But I don`t care. This is so beautiful it has to be shared.
One of my dearest friends who was there for me in a huge way when I needed someone the most over three years ago, has blessed me by sharing that she is going to undergo a sex change. I have witnessed so much unhappiness in her life (she is changing from male to female) that it is such a profound feeling to be have watched her struggle through from how she was when I met her, to seeing her finally be able to understand and embrace the life which has been denied her for so long. Yes I cried redface , so did she when she realised I was not only able to get my head around the idea, but am also so very happy for her, she deserves this on so many levels.
In turn, I shared my own lifestyle, and how much it has meant to us to belong to a community which is so open-minded toward alternative people. She was interested in joining, although she is in a monogamous relationship. SH can be so rewarding aside from swinging. I know that people who don`t swing are welcome here, but I`m not sure if US citizens are. I also know that there are other sites out there she can and has joined.......but I want her to be able to share her story here goddammit! :lol2:
Let me know yes?
Jen, if you are reading this, I love you, you big lunk, and I still maintain that being a 6ft 4 woman is going to be a hell of a thing to carry off, but if anyone can do it you can!
Thank you so much for being there for me.......
I am sooooooo going to hate myself for showing a soul on here later, but whatcha gonna do? I`m emotional! flipa

I've known about her sloppy side for ages!!!
Aww bless ya! If Jen is reading this, well done for getting this far, it is a brave thing you are doing and I truly hope you find happiness when you become what you were meant to be xx
Jen, I think I will speak for all when I say Swinging Heaven welcomes you lol
Wel my husband is a US citizen. Not resident, I'll grant you, but still citizen. Would be two faced of us all to welcome one and not another, wouldn't it?
Jen... we love you already. Anyone that can make Venus go all girly-soppy-socks must be an incredible person.

No worries about the emotional post - it's been an emotional week here. Been shedding tears of joy meself ever since Monday, and they seem to revisit me when I read the lovely responses to Vix & my wedding thread.
Your friend Jen sounds like she's really got herself together! I'd really love the opportunity to meet her, even if it's just in the context of these forums...and I think she'd make an incredibly valuable contribution should she choose to share her story with us!
~Reese! surprised
P.S. to Jen from a fellow American: If you're lurking out there, just know that we welcome you with open arms.
You guys rock!
And I`m not soppy, not in the least. Made it all up I did, just for a laugh. Honest! :uhoh: redface

Understood. I threatened everyone at our wedding, that if they so much as mention 'tears' and me in the same sentence... they would die.

Well, we already have Engeldansk from Denmark - he's very tall as well. So they might both have to duck as they come in the door lol
Mike.
I'd recommend her watching the site for a few weeks before diving in, especially if she's a little touchy about what she's going through.
While the regs are an open and friendly bunch almost all of the time (trying hard not to mention the recent bouts of civil war), there are some particulaly nasty, hatefull, hurtfull trolls out there who get their kicks ridiculing people that are not part of the mainstream norm. (but if you ask me anyone with an extreme view about anything is ruled out of the norm because of their extreme view confused :? :? ).
The nature of this site can make it an open target for these bottom-feeders from time to time and although we usually rally together to see them off, they can still do damage to peoples self-esteme.
Sorry guys. Just trying to be the voice of caution.
If she does join I'd like to say :welcome: and can we have a quick chat about that GW fella you elected again :? :? :? lol
Fair enough Easy, I tend to look through rose-coloured glasses too often. I`m sure she`ll be reading this thread later so I`m sure she`ll take this on board. smile

Well done to her, a friend of mine has a good friend who went through the smae thing and recently got married, there was some coverage of it in the newspapers which seemed positive at the start but then just got a bit nasty with a whole lot of her other personal business pasted over the papers! Basically I think it seems all the shit she went through to get where she is today seems for far too much for most people to be able to deal and cope with in any one lifetime! She is now post op and has since lost contact with her chilren because she changed her whole lifestyle which is shit sad
Id hate to have to go through something like that myself I find it hard enough dealing with my feelings as they are and they arent anywhere near as complicated! confused
Anyway all the best to your friend and best of luck, love and happiness for the future for her!! biggrin

Nope, sorry Easy, the word "again" is wrong - they didn't elect him the first time: he lost, then cheated his way to the White House.
Sorry for the little hijack,
Mike.

 I forgot about daddys election gift of Florida
Thanks Mike worship
easy. (sticking to talking bollox and not politics........ hang on, isn't it one and the same :? :? )
Ok, well I`m not so soppy as to start two soppy threads in one day.....so I`ll add to this one.
1. We had Christmas presents from America! Including the bag I left out there containing all the photos I took when I was on the Appalachian trail..............17 months ago! Oh, and some kind of dodgy chocolate thing. I`m sat here eating Twinkies! :bounce:
2. Another very dear friend phoned to say she had finally received a diagnosis for a health issue which has been playing havoc with her for ages.......and it`s treatable! :bounce:
3. A wealthy family member paid all of our rent, we don`t have to go to court now on Tuesday! We were up for eviction on 15th Dec, but the case was ajourned....now it`s no longer hanging over our heads at all (although we will of course pay the money back) I didn`t see that one coming at all! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
With the new job, and the new transport, things are beginning to finally look up!
Not bad for a Thursday eh?! wink
Shag anyone?!

Yes please
and if Jen does get to read this thread, well done, it takes a lot of courage to be who you really are. Too many people look down on you for not staying within what they call the norm, in thruth its the people who can be who they really are that make the world work, the rest are just the excess bagge of life. I admire you for your courage, and would say you are the type of person I would be proud to call a friend (if the chance ever arises to do so, which I hope it will)
I wish you luck and joy in your new start, and you have my respect and admiration for being all that you can be
