WARNING Private photos are NOT really private!

Don't know if this has already been covered, - if so, sorry mods......the reason I ask is the viewed by count on my photos keeps growing even though they are all marked as private, not public!!!! And if it's not gremlins or other members, do you think it could be George W Bush extending his spying activities?

Does anyone have any further advice on this?
I've took down all my pics apart from my avatar one just to be on the safe side - my breasts have gone into hibernation until this is rectified!!! :giggle:

Funny thing here...
On the pictures of me there has been over 200 views on most of them but on the picture with just Tony on it has only been viewed 2 times and now i keep winding him up about it :lol: :lol:

We can laugh about it now, but there were people panicking the other day about being able to be identified by their postcode........this one is a real COCKUP and is totally out of order. In another post I've praised the new guys for working through the problems, but this one isn't for the end of the to-do list - people's livelihoods and relationships are at risk because SH management have got it totally wrong........or do they want to wait for the lawsuits?

As I understand it (I could be wrong) cock shots are still not allowed in avatars, but the mods ability to remove avatars is either broken or not yet added to the new version of the site

Surely you realise that pictures on the net are never really truly, private?
(for example - look at the PM situation. Anyone with a key can have a look at will. It's all there........)

Yes but how many people took the new managers at their word that photos marked as private could only be seen by those invited to view them?
Welcome to the photo management page, from here you can add new photos (button top right), delete photos, set photos to you public and private gallery. Heres what it all means:
# Is Public: The photo will appear on your profile which is avaliable to be seen by other memebrs.
# Is Private: The photo will appear to members who you have invited to view your private gallery.]
And why wouldn't they? These guys are professional web managers and should know what they are doing.

The guys do know what they are doing but as with everything that is new, there will always be the odd gremlin which gets into the system. If the photos are that private then it would probably be better to remove them.

All I can say is, next time you drive a new car or get in a plane, it isn't designed by someone who thinks the odd gremlin is ok. I know we're not fee-paying customers, but that doesn't mean the owners don't owe us some duty of care.

Yes, I agree - take the pictures off or use pictures that you don't mind people seeing. If you have others and get to a point where you need to share them, use email rolleyes

And (stating the obvious here) - if someone found your photos on here then you'd have to question why they were looking or here in the first place... confused

Sorry NWC,.wasn't getting arsey with you......I just have a bit of a thing about the IT industry and its acceptance of poor quality. I've taken my pics off, but was worrying, maybe unneccessarily, about other folks. Maybe I'll just go chill.
