Was it cosmic ordering? swing/dating

I'm not sure I believe in cosmic ordering but something has come true that I 'asked for'...
In the thread on swing dating (http://www.swingingheaven.co.uk/swingers-forum/viewtopic/140811.html), I said that I'd like to meet a swinger with whom I could have a relationship with. I made a subtle change to my profile and at the time it felt like making that change was asking the universe for it - someone had mentioned this 'method' to get what you wanted only the day before so I thought what the hell...
Well I'm now in a relationship with a fellow swinger, it's still early days but I'm very happy. Was it cosmic ordering or just coincidence on the timing? Anyone had something similar happen?

Nah, I've been quiet because of family probs, then my internet connection went, then my laptop hard drive went (6 weeks outside it's 3 year extended warranty evil

), plus an added week away for me being blonde (I was pressing the wrong button to install the new ISP software before I bothered to call tech support to find out the problem was me rolleyes

)

I write a goal/wish list every so often- and i've always got what i wished for in some way or another ;-)
I don't believe in any kind of 'cosmic ordering' or spooky things going on, or at least I try not to, but also I can't explain why things on my list have happened!!!!
Perhaps its down to things that maybe subconciously, you know could potentially happen for you, but it's not until you make that first step to change that things do, and maybe in your case that first step was changing your profile and believing that it was possible to find your partner????? dunno

I'm a 'not sure' though I did once drive past (on a bus) a particularly sunny spot in Newcastle and think to myself what a lovely place that would be to live. Nearly 4 years later I moved there and have been here ever since. I didn't realise when I got the details of the property that that was the location as the street is hidden away so couldn't see it from the bus.

I think you're absolutely right Maz, changing my profile did make my mind more open to the idea whereas before I was still maybe not quite admitting it. I might start making more wish lists and see if it works as much as yours have biggrin

I usually write them down on a wee crib card that will fit in my wallet- but you have to be very specific, obviously not too over the top, for instance, rather than 'i want to win the lottery in june' 'I want to have enough money by the summer to go away on a good holiday'.
Well, we just got our bank charges back!! lol

The first time someone told me to do this, she said her friend had wished for 'a racing green sports car'
Anyway, that day she happened to buy a classified ads paper that she didn't normally buy, and in it, a crazed wife who had just caught her husband cheating, had put his racing green coloured porshe up for sale for £100! :lol:

I believe you can make things happen in your life - both good or bad. I do both all the time and I know it always fascintaes me how when you are in a positive confident frame of mind you become capable of doing anything.
If you believe that cosmic ordering helps thats great but being positive in your outlook and making other people feel good about themselves works for me smile

the more you tell yourselves things can happen, the more likely they are to, as the more likely you are to get off your ass and do something about it!

Totally agree with you Corrie...
Positive mind and outlook does help...not that I always feel that way I dont. Hard work getting into back into a positive frame of mind sometimes...
I could do with some cosmic dating though...anyone? :grin:
