When we got into swinging three years ago, it was me who had to work hard to convince Maz that we should give it a try. Is it always the man who has to convince the wife, or have some guys been persuaded by their wives?
Reluctantly, she agreed to go to La Chambre "to watch" she said! At first she was shy, byt three hours later, she'd had sex with two other guys!
The rest is history now.....as she can't keep her hands off other guys, as some of you know first hand! (Our full story in the stories sectio. La Chambre-Our Experience!)
I don't know as it is always the man who takes the lead in these situations but it was true in our case. Well to start with anyway. Like you described once your wife got started she was hooked.
I am sure there are many different reasons why the man may be the one making all the encouraging noises and it may be different for each relationship.
I was fearful of being exposed to friends and family to start with and therefore was not keen on taking the risk. Slowly I became more intrigued until eventually we took the plunge and met our first couple. It was the female of this couple who had been doing all the encouraging her end.
I think the important thing shown here is that although one or the other starts the process that it is a mutual agreement to continue.

This question is posed in the wrong tense for me. "Is your wife..." is the correct context. However, thanks for raising the subject guys - it gives me hope and I am looking to pick up tips on how to germinate the seeds I'm gently sowing. Any more will be avidly studied.
There was me, sitting at work, minding my own bees wax when I receive a text msg on my mobile.
"I've placed an advert for us on a swinging site".
Jeez, you've never seen thumbs move so fast.. "what advert?", "what site?" "swinging heaven, wtf?"
We had discussed joining the scene for many months, but it did come as one hell of a shock for Dawn to start the ball rolling.

My wife was the one who encouraged us into this, as she had experienced such things whilst at university. Being a country lad I always had tried to keep it one to one in the hayloft, but that's another story!!
