Sorry this abit late notice.
But at 7pm a candle will be lit by many parents that have lost a baby. It is national Babyloss day today and the wave of light is to remember these children that are not with us.
Love

I cant even begin to imagine what you go through when you lose a child.
My thoughts are with you all kiss
not something I have had to suffer...
but for those who have...
I should like to light a candle.~x~
thankyou Stormwalker for raising this
LP
Thoughts with all those who have suffered.
kiss
I don't even wanna think about losing my son.
If I'd known about this I'd have got some candles in. Was it publicised at all or have I got my head up my arse as far as news is concerned?!!!
My deepest sympathies to anyone who has suffered the loss of a child.

No your head is exactly where it should be hun. It is unfortunately publicised mainly in the circles of and to the people most affected ie Babyloss sites and the like. Many of us have tried to raise awareness of the day in local press and to the media, but it seems to be something that those avenues don't want to publicise too readily dunno I believe that it maybe that grief unless you have suffered it yourself does not make very interesting reading or sell too many papers. I also feel that the baby channels and mags etc concentrate on pregnancies and reproduction reaching it's usual conclusion and don't want to concentrate too heavily on the fall out when it does'nt.
In my own little way I am beginning to do something about it albeit locally and in a small way, but it makes me feel better.
Thank you for all the input into this thread. We were not expecting it and it just reinforces my view that you lot are a damn fine bunch of people.

I haven't lost but I have been close to people that have and days like today remind me of how lucky Ian and I are.
