Plenty of fresh veg.
And, yes, a couple of early nights.
Physically, what about some simple yoga stretches?
Sorry to tell you but all that stuff about the hot tub is rubbish. Any effects of such relaxation is at best a short-lived temporary fix.
The only way to ease your aching muscles and prevent that tiredness stretching out for more than a few days is an ice cold bath. This has the affect of preventing any damaged or swollen muscles becoming worse and thus decreases recovery time significantly.
It's perhaps not what you want to hear, but the old adage about medicine is true - if it tastes foul its probably doing you good.
And if you're enjoying it - well the opposite is the case.
