Yesterday I was miserable as sin finding out my true weight so I did cheat a bit and went for the usual comfort eating thing.
Did better today ... helped by the fact i threw up this morning and spent most of the day in bed with gut-rot.
Must do better .... rolleyes
BTW, how much do you allow for clothing and shoes - realistically? I suppose it doesnt affect your actual loss if you always get weighed in the same clothes - which I intend to - but it might make feel a bit better about my present weight.
Hi All,
Well tuesday and first day of diet and I WAS doing really really well. Then in the afternoon me and Mr Tiggs got a phone call and we had to rush up to wokingham as a member of our family had been taken into hospital. Not much dieting took place im afraid. When I did it eat, sorry to say but I ate crap.
Oh Well back home at last now and starting again, Hopefully it wont show too much on the scales on Tuesday.
All I can say is that if we stick together we will all do this
errr...... my dieting so far has not gone to plan.
so i thought i would give everyone a head start!!!!
its not my fault there is a chinesse takeaway at the end of my road !!!

Well , 4 days in and i feel a lot better . Been eating properly , cornflakes , skimmed milk for brekkie . Lunch consists of a bagel , with a smidin of low fat cottage cheese . Banna & apple and if i'm really (really) hungry a yoghurt . Evening meal is something (?) with plenty of veggies . I've drunk the recommended mimimum of 2 litres of water a day . Been to the gym 3 times , walked the dogs and down to the village shop , a round trip of 2 miles and still can't manage to do 10,000 steps a day on my pedometer .
How's everyone else doing ?
yesterday was so hard at work especially at tea time everyone was eating coffe n walnut cake i sat dribbleing in the corner

I'm not doing too bad, was out with the horse by 9pm this morning getting some exercise after recovering from the cycling (bruised I am too!)
Not one chocolate has passed my lips today and I've eaten sensibly.
Sat here now with an upset stomach which is either due to nicotine withdrawal (no cigs for 6 days again) or the bloody diet and I can't work it out
OUCH
Need to go food shopping but I'm dreading it, has anyone got any tips?

Well, I'd had a brill week up til today.
Got mega stressed out at something, so consoled myself with a cup of tea and too much cakey bun - but worse than that - bought some baccy; so now back on the fags too mad sad :x :( :x

Always dangerous I thought to try and do both, maybe worry about the smoking first, more dangerous than being a bit tubs!

Yes it's very windy but I went on a power-walk to the Church and back, not too far but some testing gradients, took me about 15 -20 minutes, heart rate up, feel good quotient 90%.
Well, I'm reete pissed off with the eye thing I got going on, so have been comfort eating, and drinking of course.
To top it all, have just been put on a very high dose of steroids for a week and they chuck the weight on.

Stop it IMMEDIATELY. Go out for a hard walk and bin them on the way. Why waste all that pain in the ABSOLUTE certain knowledge that if you're minded to give up YOU WILL have to do it again!
I gave up twice and slipped before finally giving up for good (I hope it has been 18 years), but none of the attempts had lasted 8 months. For several years after I occasionally still got pangs, the most notable was going into a dining room laid for a Christms Day party and seeing glasses filled with ciggies and cigars on each table, for some inexplicable reason the desire for a smoke hit me hard. (I didn't give in).

I've been very very bad. Yesterday I met up with some lovely peeps off here and they forced me to drink gallons of Kronenbourg on an empty stomach and then made me eat pizza at stupid o'clock this morning. How cruel!
Am being very good now, with a light cup-a-soup and toast. It's all I can stomach tbh. sad
Just ate Pizza....I feel so ashamed sad

Last night I finished my stilton & my mince pies, & tonight I finished the port drinkies biggrin
So no more treats for me (apart from a few drinks at the weekend). sad I get quite hungry in the evenings, but I find that if I am seeing some weight loss, I can almost get a buzz out of feeling hungry... because that means I'm losing weight!!! That, & regular applications of fruit, & marmite on crispbread keeps me going.
But, as DeniseBabe says, the best thing of course is to change your lifestyle so that you don't have to diet :shock: .
