Bad news folks,... :upset:
Just as l was getting to no everyone and my ''to shag & snog'' list was started to look pretty good our Pc had packed up on us :sad: , Our cpu fan isnt working properly and it's causing our pc to over heat, if we keep using it then it will just slowly melt the inside, so we have to send it back to the shop where we got it which promised us it'd take no more than 3 weeks! (not good enough l no,..told ya to come with me Serps sad

)
But we will be back so dont go shutting our account and make sure you all miss us and are miserable till we return lol

Oh the trails and tribulations of the PC. Its typical of most PC stores rather than just send someone out or say bring it in here well fix it while you wait.
It takes longer to get the case sise off than it does to change a CPU fan...
See ya soon anyhows.. I would never want to go cold turkey from SH....Shivers just thinking about it...

knowing pc stores, the cpu fan will probably be dusty and so not spinning.
3 weeks my bum......3 minutes more likely.
sry for your loss, i was without computer for an hour at weekend and felt slightly lost.

ah, you've come to the right place! once upon a time, my CPU melted and fried to a frazzled crisp, and hey presto, if there weren't a complete motherboard and chip winging it's way to me within days! biggrin

Pc isnt going till the morning but l'm depressed already, I did hoover the outside of the tower but cant get into it as it has stupid screws that l dont have a driver to fit ( why cant people just have uncomplicated screws fgs!)
If we was to change the cpu ourselves which l'm sure is simple enough then we'd void the warranty, the pc cost us too much as it is as we got it on finance (just over a grand)
We are nagging the shop to give us a replacement as this is the second unit we've had from them in just under a year, So fingers crossed they'll get their finger out and it wont be too long...The shop is only gonna send it to the manufactures who have alreadly told us the unit is faulty (why cant they just give us a new pc l hear ya say) well the shop say they have to have it checked first just to make sure ... ARGGGGGGGGH!!
And Olive, l'm soweee hun... but am more than prepared to make it up to you at the IOW munch hump
