The female then deposits her eggs into the males brood pouch where he fertilizes them and lets them grow. The developing embryos are oxygenated and maintained for 3 - 6 weeks. When the male gives birth, he may actually experience birth pain.
If this is the alternative then hey why not forget about being straight (if you are).
But then even this impressive specimen of a male has its flaws as once he has given birth he lacks the mothering instinct to care for the young.
In ths day and age it is also possible, weather or not you deem it to be ethicle, to pro create without man. So back to your origional question what are men good for? DIY is not my forte so i may fold my cards sooner rather than later.
