I have just been reading a thread that it was quoted “I saw a programme once, or read this in the news paperâ€.
When are people going to realise whatever is screened or written down in the paper is more often than not a bias view, there is often a one sided angle, and to think you can make a judgement from that about any issue to me and this is my own opinion is stupid, narrow minded, and completely absurd.
These mediums are to me a major factor why there is hatred in the country as they know that they drive people to form an opinion.
I believe opinions should be formed on what people say, how they act, or react in a situation. Judge them on a one to one basis, never in bulk. You can only make these opinions then on your own personal experiences and not what you hear from others.
I think then you can form a fair opinion and one that you can back up from your own person experiences, but then that is your opinion and never expect people to form their opinions from yours as it is still hearsay.
I know we need media to a degree, but the power they have I think has gone to far.

What are you views on media?
That is why as " adults " we look at the media or the telly, and then make our own judgements, about whether we agree or believe.
We need the media...take the MP's expenses for a good example. I know some " make things up " but....there is a lot of good information that comes out of the media.
I would rather have it than not.

I don't read the papers or watch the news any more. We're only told what they want us to know and there's a hell of a lot we're kept in the dark about. The rest of it is about pseudo celebs and who they're shagging this week which I find infinately less interesting than the daily routine of the common slug
They are due a back lash at some point. They are in a prominent role in most developed societies. But some media is just useless and misleading nonsense. But the problem is that people can't ask for something 'more' or 'less', if there is just so much choice available. In some ways the media are devaluing what they produce, by having so much production.
I think the only thing I ever read thoroughly was the Exchange and Mart, several years ago. Somehow it was worth reading throughout, until I almost memorised everything in it.
