what does BBW mean to you?

hey guys was just curious but what does the term BBW mean to you?
maybe its just because i am one that i have always known what it means but i also thought it was common knowledge what it stood for yet we get peeps dialy coming into the BBW room getting it wrong makes no odds cause all are welcome but i just thought it would be interesting to see just how many out there do understand the term lol

I'd go with 'fat bird', because we aren't all beautiful! confused

Just to clarify that; I'd say I was a fat bird but would not call myself a BBW because I'm not vain enough to consider myself beautiful.

I'd go with 'fat bird', because we aren't all beautiful! icon_
Just to clarify that; I'd say I was a fat bird but would not call myself a BBW because I'm not vain enough to consider myself beautiful.
Exactly the way i would put it too except its not about being vain or not..... I know im not a looker dunno

i got bbw on my profile.. but for me it stands for big boooooobied woman! lol

i think the reason it is big beautifull women is so to not be derogatory in any way to big girls it was a term coined to help big girls accept that there r guys out there that find thier size beautifull not necessarily the facial features
the point i was gettin at really is the amount of peeps out there that have no clue as to what it stands for or even think it stands for big breasted women we have a lot of guys come into the room thinkin they will find big tits on cam and then start hurlin insults cause all they find is fat birds banghead

poor guys r very dissapointed lol

I'm not a fan of the term bbw although I use it purely because the word 'fat' is usually used in the negative i.e lazy fat cow, ugly fat ****, useless fat **** etc etc.
I certainly don't think I'm beautiful (my problem with the term bbw) but until a suitable alternative is devised that is neither derogatory, sickly or complicated I'll stick with the one most people know as it's now become a generic term that just stands for 'fat bird'.
Maybe I can make myself feel better about the term if I think to myself that bbw actually stands for 'big bubbly woman' biggrin

Speaking as a little fat fucker, what is the equivalent euphemism for a bloke?
BBW has long been a euphemism/acronym used to prevent offending larger woman but how come there's never been one for guys? We can be offended just as much as women can yet there's no male equivalent.

Never seen them used on SH though. I know "bear" and "chubby" in chubby-chaser, but I've never seen BHM, TBH I'm not sure that "big" is the right adjective, I've always thought "large" was better as it refers to bulk. Big, in my eyes, refers more to general size, ie taller as well as larger.

I am BBW... and i most certainly don't class my self as beautiful either.
For me the term BBW states im not a model and dont have a model figure... altho i do have a personality(so im told) lol

What's wrong with "fuckable" or "not fuckable". I'm not really sure why size comes into it.
To me someone who describes themselves as a BBW lover/fan/chaser is someone who specifically targets larger women for their affections, but if I turn round and say I'm not a BBW lover then that can make it sound like I'm not a fan. Whereas in truth I really don't care what size a women is.
For example my natural attraction is for small, petite blondes, yet in the chemist the other day there was a woman who I gauged to be about a size 18 and she was well fuckable. She was pretty, funny and immaculately made up in spite of the fact she was dragging 4 kids around with her.

The really strange thing about the term BBW, is the number of women who don't like the term because they don't see themselves as beautiful. Well after the BBW social I'm convinced it's Big Beautiful Women, but then I'm probably biased.
We live in a very prejudice world and ultimately shouldn't need to have these labels. Afterall you're all women and shouldn't have to excuse yourselves with the label. When did you last hear of TBWs (Thin Beautiful Women)?
Sorry it makes my blood boil. It's people that matter, what's inside.
And by the way Sugar-n-pom, don't put yourself down, I've seen you and you're gorgeous!

BBW means to me the same as any other title that people call themselves and that is just simply a member who deserves to be treated with respect and humor at all times.
My way might not be the right way but it's my way so there lol

I always thought that BBW stood for Big Buxom Woman and was quite shocked about the Beautiful bit. I dont use the term for myself (but I definately fall into the big, buxom and woman bits of it).
Its just another label, personally, I just describe myself as a short arse, with 3 Big B's (bottom, belly and boobs) lol

To be honest, I dont use the BBW room because of it being for big girls, and I hadnt really thought much about the title of the room. I use it because it is friendly, loads of laughs and there is always someone to have a good old natter to :wink:

well its been great seeing the responses ty all but i do think its not if you see yourself as beautifull that is meant by the term more how we perseve being big and i do feel that even though i don't see myself as beautifull in the conventional sense i do feel i can embrace my size as being beautifull fat does not equate ugly for me i feel that all body shapes and sizes are beautifull in their own right and big can be just as sexy as skinny to different people as for what size makes a bbw to me its a size 18 and above yet others say 14 and above but maybe its because i am sooooooooooooo big i perseve under size 18s as slim lol
